The refusal by ABC and NBC to run a national ad critical of President Obama’s health care reform plan is raising questions from the group behind the spot — particularly in light of ABC’s health care special aired in prime time last June and hosted at the White House.

“The ABC Television Network has a long-standing policy that we do not sell time for advertising that presents a partisan position on a controversial public issue,” spokeswoman Susan Sewell said in a written statement. “Just to be clear, this is a policy for the entire network, not just ABC News.”

Dick Morris, a FOX News political analyst and the League of American Voters’ chief strategist, conceptualized the advertisement and said its purpose was to “refocus” the debate on health care reform.

“I feel the whole debate on health care reform needed to be refocused on the issue of Medicare,” he told FOXNews.com. “Most of the debate had been on issues of socialized medicine and cost. I felt that the impact of the legislation in cutting the Medicare program and enforcing rationing needed to be addressed.”

Morris, a onetime advisor to former President Bill Clinton, said he was particularly troubled by ABC’s decision not to air the spot.

“It’s the ultimate act of chutzpah because ABC is the network that turned itself over completely to Obama for a daylong propaganda fest about health care reform,” he said. “For them to be pious and say they will not accept advertising on health care shuts their viewers out from any possible understanding of both sides of this issue.”

Obama, Pelosi and the rest of the democrats are whining about how unfair it is that conservatives have become a community of organized protestors. According to Pelosi, we’re nothing more than a bunch of “political terrorists” hellbent on stopping free speech.

So now according to one woman in this video, (who may have been a cop), talking to someone else is considered resisting arrest? Watching this video, but be warned it may make your blood boil.

Washington- As Democrat leaders begin to flail in desperation to revive their flagging healthcare takeover, Baron Hill may have just heard an offer he can’t refuse. Hill and his fellow Blue Dogs have been in negotiations with their party bosses as Nancy Pelosi and Henry Waxman attempt to force their bill to a vote in Congress. Today, Waxman offered Hill a ‘watered-down’ compromise in order to get him on board with his party bosses and leave Indiana families in the rearview mirror. After a morning meeting with House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Henry Waxman, Hill and his comrades had plenty to consider:

“Hill then retreated to his personal office along with Reps. Mike Ross (D-Ark.), Zach Space (D-Ohio) and John Barrow (D-Ga.), three of the seven Blue Dogs who hold the keys to unlocking the healthcare bill from the Energy and Commerce Committee. That group was gathering to consider whether to accept Waxman’s proposal or to make a counter-offer and keep the negotiations going.”

“‘I think what the chairman has done has agreed to a lot of our proposals in a hybrid fashion,’ Hill said. ‘In other words, he’s kind of watered them down. “As the Democrats’ job-killing healthcare takeover continues to lose steam, Baron Hill appears poised to cut a deal that will curry favor with his party bosses as they force their bill through Congress and onto the American people,” said NRCC Communications Director Ken Spain. “Indiana families are looking for solutions that will get the country’s economy back on track, but Baron Hill is ready to sell them out once again in order to green-light his party’s anti-jobs agenda. Hill has put on a nice show so far, but his willingness to put a ‘watered-down’ compromise before the interests of Indiana families shows that his true loyalties lie with Nancy Pelosi and her radical friends.”

As Baron Hill considers selling out his constituents for some Capitol Hill credibility, will Indiana families end up on the losing end of his party loyalties once again?

Health care quandary

Q. The nation’s best course of action on the Obama health care plan is:

A. Take advantage of the momentum and President Obama’s political good will – still riding high from the election – and adopt the plan as soon as possible.

B. Kill the Obama plan. It is too much, too soon and goes too far toward socialized medicine.

C. Let the political system take its course. Already, some moderate Democrats are seeking modifications. Even though Democrats control the presidency and both houses of Congress, negotiations and compromise will lead to an acceptable – if imperfect – plan.

D. How should I know? I am too busy trying to make ends meet and keep my family healthy to study the nuances of a plan I have no control over.

Most Americans, we suspect, would honestly answer “D.” The enormity of the Obama plan is almost overwhelming for an average citizen.

It’s called the internet, stupid. The JG fails to provide any real information because the majority of the liberal mainstream media refuse to publish it.

But the simple reality is that Obama has a specific plan with a method of financing, while the alternative is … well, there is no other single, specific plan to consider. And with the health care system’s inefficiencies and high costs that still leave tens of millions of uninsured Americans – the two sides even fight over how many – something must be done.

So “Obamacare” – the term conservative critics use to deride the president’s plan – is the only game in town, and that is the fault of the Republican opposition, which has utterly failed to address an issue important to the vast majority of the nation.

Critics have focused much of their message on trying to slow down the process.

Slow down the process? Obama took 6 months to pick out a dog, and he’s trying to cram his ridiculous program down our throats in two week? Most legislators haven’t even had time to read the 1,000+ page proposal.

More importantly, candidate Obama had clear proposals on health care, an issue that was one of the few he and Hillary Rodham Clinton debated in intricate detail during the primaries. Americans knew Obama’s health care agenda when they elected him – by a convincing margin. His plan largely coincides with his campaign platform.

Big effn deal. Just because he campaigned on healthcare reform, doesn’t mean it’s the right reform package. The JG has proven that they’re either to lazy, too stupid, or just so in the sack over Obama that all they can offer is a partisan opinion without offering anything substantive to back it up. Let’s take a look at some of the facts surrounding Obama’s proposed healthcare overhaul, courtesy of Little Green Footballs.

I must say that Carnahan was as nervous as taxpayer in a room full of liberals! The standing room only crowd obviously rattled him. Carnahan made little eye contact as he likely expected an echo chamber, recognizing instead that he was in Dante’s Inferno.

The crowd was split about 60-40 against him is my read, and that ratio is larger if you removed all the people who were helping at the event who last names begin with “Carnahan!” Many attendees were people with severe disabilities, and they were there for answers, not platitudes.

Carnahan eventually introduced his “posse.” This group was right out of the Democrat playbook, titled “Using Victims to Sell Anything.” He had people who represented the disabled, children, the elderly, and of course the BLACKS—or as Russ put it, the “disenfranchised.” By the way, his panel of leaders…were ALL white!!

It was finally time for Q&A. Members of Russ’ entourage, practically all family had earlier taken [screened] “question cards.” They had microphones set up to take audience [shills] questions as well.

The first question from a shill and was a setup question—a softball, lobbed so Russ could knock it out of the park. Russ reiterated that this new proposed legislation would be revolutionary, and needed to thwart the crisis that is coming in healthcare. Knowing that I would not be able to get my question card read, I shouted “If the plan is so good, then why isn’t Congress included?”

The room again erupted in laughter, and people restated the question. However, Russ “dk’d” me: ‘Didn’t know’ me. Nevertheless the mood of the room became a bit more hostile, as it should when Congress essentially says, “Here is YOUR plan, but we will keep ours.”

I followed up my comment with more truth about the Democrats, by saying, “Russ Carnahan doesn’t listen to black people!” Carnahan said nothing.

For fun let’s say 30%, or approximately 660,000 jobs could possibly be lost. They average 37.7 hours per week, or about $891 per weekly paycheck. If our math is right that’s $588,060,000 per week in lost wages, or $30,579,120,000 per year. So, just playing with the numbers, that would be $30 billion dollars taken out of the economy. The average maximum unemployment compensation level is around $290 per week. That would mean an additional unemployment burden of $191,400,000 per week on a system that is already strained.

Obama doesn’t even know what’s in the bill the liberal democrats are attempting to push down your throats.

With the public’s trust in his handling of health care tanking (50%-44% of Americans disapprove), the White House has launched a new phase of its strategy designed to pass Obamacare: all Obama, all the time. As part of that effort, Obama hosted a conference call with leftist bloggers urging them to pressure Congress to pass his health plan as soon as possible.

During the call, a blogger from Maine said he kept running into an Investors Business Daily article that claimed Section 102 of the House health legislation would outlaw private insurance. He asked: “Is this true? Will people be able to keep their insurance and will insurers be able to write new policies even though H.R. 3200 is passed?” President Obama replied: “You know, I have to say that I am not familiar with the provision you are talking about.”

Huh? And this guy is the POTUS?

It is truly frightening that the President of the United States is pressuring Congress in an all-out media blitz to pass legislation that he flatly admits he has not read and is not familiar with. President Obama owes it to the American people to stop making promises about what his health plan will or will not do until he has read it, and can properly defend it in public, to his own supporters.

In other healthcare related news, we now have a surgeon general pick from Obama, Regina M. Benjamin. She’s estimated to be 40 pounds overweight and wear a size 18. I wonder if she could achieve the President’s Fitness Challenge? She’s a very intelligent and highly qualified person. We’re just saying..

“Devinsky asked the president pointedly if he would be willing to promise that he wouldn’t seek such extraordinary help for his wife or daughters if they became sick and the public plan he’s proposing limited the tests or treatment they can get.

The president refused to make such a pledge, though he allowed that if “it’s my family member, if it’s my wife, if it’s my children, if it’s my grandmother, I always want them to get the very best care.”

Patients United Now will be in Fort Wayne on July 9th at 12:00 noon, with a presentation by David McIntosh, discussing the costs of government run health care.

During the Reagan administration, he served as special assistant to the Attorney General and as special assistant to the President for Domestic Affairs. During the first Bush administration, he served as executive director of the President’s Council on Competitiveness and assistant to the Vice President. He later represented Indiana’s second district in the House of Representatives (1995 until January 2001), becoming chairman of the Subcommittee on Regulatory Relief, which had oversight of environmental, labor, and FDA regulations.
