Obama campaigned for New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine who ran for re-election last year. Corzine lost.

He also campaigned in Virginia for Democratic nominee Creigh Deeds to replace outgoing Democratic Governor Tim Kaine. Deeds lost.

Obama also went to Copenhagen to campaign for his home town of Chicago to host the 2016 Olympics. Chicago lost.

Many of you may be too young to remember, but back in 1989 a exhibition of photographs by Robert Mapplethorpe featuring Andres Serrano’s work contained a picture of Jesus hanging from a cross submerged in a jar of urine. Mapplethorpe own work had pictures of gay sex acts and nude young boys.

It was underwritten with your money by the National Endowments for the Arts, (NEA). At that time, house democrats took the position it was “freedom of expression,” and were outraged when republicans moved to halt the funding.

Here we go again.

Talk about a stimulus package.

The National Endowment for the Arts may be spending some of the money it received from the Recovery and Reinvestment Act to fund nude simulated-sex dances, Saturday night “pervert” revues and the airing of pornographic horror films at art houses in San Francisco.

The NEA was given $80 million of the government’s $787 billion economic stimulus bill to spread around to needy artists nationwide, and most of the money is being spent to help preserve jobs in museums, orchestras, theaters and dance troupes that have been hit hard by the recession.

But some of the NEA’s grants are spicing up more than the economy. A few of their more risque choices have some taxpayer advocates hot under the collar, including a $50,000 infusion for the Frameline film house, which recently screened Thundercrack, “the world’s only underground kinky art porno horror film, complete with four men, three women and a gorilla.”

“When you spend so much money in a short amount of time … you’re going to have nonsense like this, and that’s why the stimulus should never have been done in the first place,” said David Williams, vice president for policy at Citizens Against Government Waste. [more here]

The national energy tax that went through this House last month will cause millions of Americans to lose their jobs over the next 10 years, at 2.5 million per year. And we’re debating the health care plan, the government takeover of health care, which according to the Presidents council of economic advisors model will cost five million more Americans their jobs.”

This video below depicts the real intentions of the liberal left and the Obama administration. Kill the insurance companies, kill more jobs. As of June, 2009 the insurance industry employed 2,2 million, with an average hourly wage of $23.64, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics [link]. How many of these people will lose their jobs if government-run healthcare becomes a reality?

For fun let’s say 30%, or approximately 660,000 jobs could possibly be lost. They average 37.7 hours per week, or about $891 per weekly paycheck. If our math is right that’s $588,060,000 per week in lost wages, or $30,579,120,000 per year. So, just playing with the numbers, that would be $30 billion dollars taken out of the economy. The average maximum unemployment compensation level is around $290 per week. That would mean an additional unemployment burden of $191,400,000 per week on a system that is already strained.

Obama doesn’t even know what’s in the bill the liberal democrats are attempting to push down your throats.

With the public’s trust in his handling of health care tanking (50%-44% of Americans disapprove), the White House has launched a new phase of its strategy designed to pass Obamacare: all Obama, all the time. As part of that effort, Obama hosted a conference call with leftist bloggers urging them to pressure Congress to pass his health plan as soon as possible.

During the call, a blogger from Maine said he kept running into an Investors Business Daily article that claimed Section 102 of the House health legislation would outlaw private insurance. He asked: “Is this true? Will people be able to keep their insurance and will insurers be able to write new policies even though H.R. 3200 is passed?” President Obama replied: “You know, I have to say that I am not familiar with the provision you are talking about.”

Huh? And this guy is the POTUS?

It is truly frightening that the President of the United States is pressuring Congress in an all-out media blitz to pass legislation that he flatly admits he has not read and is not familiar with. President Obama owes it to the American people to stop making promises about what his health plan will or will not do until he has read it, and can properly defend it in public, to his own supporters.

In other healthcare related news, we now have a surgeon general pick from Obama, Regina M. Benjamin. She’s estimated to be 40 pounds overweight and wear a size 18. I wonder if she could achieve the President’s Fitness Challenge? She’s a very intelligent and highly qualified person. We’re just saying..

In response to Drudge “outing” the USDA for spending stimulus dollars, they issued a press release. In it, they stated the following:

The references to “2 pound frozen ham sliced” are to the sizes of the packaging. Press reports suggesting that the Recovery Act spent $1.191 million to buy “2 pounds of ham” are wrong. In fact, the contract in question purchased 760,000 pounds of ham for $1.191m, at a cost of approximately $1.50 per pound.
