The 60th annual National Day of Prayer services will be held tomorrow, May 5th. The theme for this year’s event is “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God.” The national honorary chairman is the remarkable Joni Erickson Tada, a leader who has inspired millions with her life lived out in a Christ-like manner following a diving accident at the age of 17 which left her paralyzed. She has been an advocate for the disabled and a theologian for living the Christian life fully through hardship with joy and a constant eternal perspective overlooking her present condition.

We have word that tomorrow, Indiana State Representative Jackie Walorski intends on filing paperwork forming her candidate committee. This is only the administrative filing, which allows her to begin raising and spending money to explore her options.
The seat is currently held by U.S. Rep. Joe Donnelly (D).
The mob’s efforts appear to be changing the minds of some Democrats. According to TheHill.com, “23 House Democrats already have told constituents or hometown media that they oppose the massive healthcare overhaul touted by President Barack Obama.”
If Republicans offer the blanket opposition they’ve promised, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) can afford to lose only 38 members of her 256-member caucus and still pass the bill.
I’d bet there are at least 20 other democrat members of congress that are worried about losing their house seats if they vote for the plan.
This past Monday night at anti-conservative Mall owner Mel Simon’s house, Indiana Democratic chairman Dan Parker held a mandatory meeting of top Democrats. The attendance list was a who’s who of Indiana democrats:

US Representative Joe Donnelly (D) Indiana 2st Congressional District
US Representative Brad Ellsworth (D) Indiana 9th Congressional
US Representative Baron Hill (D) Indiana 9th Congressional District
