Über Liberal Robert Rouse, (rhymes with Goose) has been absent from the local blogging scene for quite some time. He’s back. The title of the blog is “Freeze Dried Gray Matter.” Once you watch this clip, you’ll agree it’s an appropriate name.

I warn you, it will make you ill. Come back here and leave your comments.

henry IM PowerYesterday the Board of Public Works approved paying NOVI Energy more money for more consulting.

This time, it’s $92,500 to “study” the use of biogas, hydropower and solar power. The city paid them in June for $95,000 so now we’ve spent close to $200K just to get opinions.

Who the hell are they kidding? This isn’t California folks, and the city can only lay claim to approximately 36,000 customers, if they have a claim at all. We currently receive $1.7 million per year from I&M, renegotiate the friggin lease and get it over with.

Henry and his minions are forgetting that I&M employs 352 employees with an annual payroll of $27 million. They pay $2.5 million in annual property taxes and donate $500,000 a year to local nonprofit groups. Last year they spent $12 million in the aftermath of the ice storm, bringing in over 1500 workers to restore power.

Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.

solitaire dumbocrats

As Connecticut House Minority Leader Lawrence F. Cafero Jr., R-Norwalk speaks during a budget hearing, two democrats wile away the hours playing solitaire. What the hell, it’s only a $37 billion budget.

On the left is Rep. Barbara Lambert, a freshman Democrat from Milford, CT and on the right is Rep. Jack F. Hennessy, a Bridgeport ,CT Democrat.

Behind them to the right is State Democrat Rep. Russ Morin, checking baseball action on CNN.

Right out of the Tim Pape playbook, eh?

StabenowSen. Debbie Stabenow, recently appointed to the Senate Energy Committee and a democrat from Michigan had this to say to the Detroit News on Monday.

“Global warming creates volatility. I feel it when I’m flying. The storms are more volatile. We are paying the price in more hurricanes and tornadoes.”

Flying? Oh save me. That’s just patently stupid. For starters, Michigan had its coldest July recorded this year EVER. And on top of that..

From the Globe and Mail

Nationwide, there were 826 tornadoes this year through June 30, compared with an average of 934 for the same period during the previous three years, according to the National Severe Storms Laboratory in Norman, Okla. Most twisters strike in Tornado Alley, which generally extends from Texas and Oklahoma to Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa and Minnesota.

During a remarkable 17-day lull from mid-May through early June, there were no tornado watches issued anywhere in the United States. And that is typically the height of the season in Tornado Alley.

And on the hurricane front from earlier this week:

Two quiet months during the hurricane season have prompted the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to downgrade its forecast for 2009. Although weather observers say it only takes one major storm to wreak immeasurable damage, there has yet to be a named storm this year. NOAA’s updated prediction calls for up to 11 named storms.

Who’s voting these idiots into office?

She wears blinders.

From the Allen County Democrat’s blog.

Reason #17 Why I am Glad I Voted for Obama

When he says something that, let’s face it, didn’t exactly contribute to positive national discourse (and who among us hasn’t said something that they would just as soon retract), he talks to the guy he said it about and then tells the nation what he did and why he thinks his choice of words was poor.

They guy stuck his foot in his mouth and took this right out of the Billy Clinton political playbook. The only reason he did the aforementioned is the press had a field day with him. He called the cops stupid. Now what he’s saying is this, (Fluhr translation):

“I’m sorry that some of you people were too stupid to understand what I stupidly said about the Cambridge police acting ’stupidly.”

Now he’s trying to turn it into a media event by inviting Gates and and Sergeant Crowley to the White House while stating “I continue to believe that there was an overreaction in pulling professor Gates out of his home and to the station.” The guy can talk out of both sides of his mouth, and his innocent ignorant lambs sheeple believe every word, as if he’s the prince of peace.

Kiss my ass, that’s not an apology.

Stupid is as stupid does! Where’s Jesse?

Indiana 8th district Congressman Brad Ellsworth (D) is a holder of a master’s degree in criminology from Indiana State University, and the former Vanderburgh County Sheriff. We’d like to know his position regarding Obama’s statement where he recently said, “the Cambridge, MA police department “Acted Stupidly.”

We sent his press secretary the question today via email. We invite you to do the same.

Here’s an example of what you could send.

Can anyone believe that he’s actually qualified to make the statement in the video below? More liberal horseshit. Do you honestly believe that your child’s doctor would do a surgery that wasn’t required, just for the money? The Obamassiah does.

I don’t know if Tracy Warner or Dan Klugman at the Journal Gazette penned this, but they obviously have their head stuck far up their ass. As expected, they’re blaming the republicans for Obama’s expected failure on H.B. 3200. Maybe they should have a discussion with some of the blue dog democrats, who say the bill should not move forward without firm numbers on cost savings.
