It’s been all over the news. Congressman Andre Carson, Indiana 7th (D) and the Congressional Black Caucus whip, said at a CBC event in Miami that some in Congress would “love to see us as second-class citizens” and “some of them in Congress right now of this tea party movement would love to see you and me … hanging on a tree.”
Carson also said the tea party is stopping change in Congress, likening it to “the effort that we’re seeing of Jim Crow.”
Fort Wayne City Councilwoman Karen Goldner apparently doesn’t have a problem with this. Around 4:00 today she posted, this on Facebook.
Karen Goldner I wish Andre Carson were OUR Congressman. Sigh.
If I lived in the 2nd District, Russ Jehl would certainly have my vote in November.
At a Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) event in Miami, Carson said TEA Party aligned members of Congress view African Americans as “second-class citizens” and would like to see them “hanging on a tree.”
Carson also said the tea party is stopping change in Congress, likening it to “the effort that we’re seeing of Jim Crow.”
The guy has never had anything of substance to say, and he’s in fear of losing his seat. So what the hell, how about we just incite some violence and toss out the race card?
You may recall the NAACP attempted a desperate smear against the TEA Party campaign involving Carson, who along with Congressmen John Lewis, Emanuel Cleaver lied that a “mob” of TEA Partiers hurled the N-Word at them day before the health care vote on the steps of the Cannon House Building.
Rep. Allen West, the no-nonsense GOP congressman from Florida, said he’s considering dropping out of the Congressional Black Caucus after hearing audio of vitriolic, anti-Tea Party language.
Emery McClendon, an African-American from Fort Wayne who is among the most popular speakers at tea party events both in Indiana and nationally, said Carson should apologize.
“I’m the one who started the tea party here in Allen County,” McClendon said. “I have never in my career, and it’s been almost three years now that the tea party’s been in existence, experienced any form of racism or any form of any negative-type treatment from anybody. The negative treatment that I have received has been from basically my own people, other blacks, telling me that I’m wrong for being a part of it, but without having any type of reasoning or proof as to why I shouldn’t be a part of (the tea party.)”
Keep it classy Andre, as you continue to render yourself irrelevant to Hoosiers.
Carson, a democrat, represents Indiana’s 7th district, which is basically Indianapolis. He’s the second Muslim to ever serve in Congress. He has been in office since 2008 when he basically inherited his seat that was held by his late grandmother.

In case you missed it, last Thursday was National Polygamy Day, and the 10th annual celebration, too! This event is organized by a group, which has the slogan, “Polygamy the Next Civil Rights Battle.” They celebrate the gains made each year, mostly by homosexual demands groups, in the unraveling of marriage in the United States in hope of legalizing polygamy in the US. Last night was a nightmare come true, as house democrats turned their backs on their base and voted to approve Pelosi’s bullshit healthcare plan. They were goaded on by Obama, who told them, “You don’t want those extremist teabag people to win, do you?”
One Republican, Joe Cao, who replaced “Dollar Bill” Jefferson in a democrat district from Louisiana voted yes. 39 Democrats voted no.
Think of the chocolate bunny as your rights, and the heat source, well, you’ll get it. Chocolate Bunny Kill
It’s now in the hands of the senate. Evan Bayh, beware.
FWIW, the Stupak-Pitts amendment to strip abortion funding from the bill passed. Now we’ll have to wait and see if it can survive the conference committee with the Senate, or a Supreme Court challenge.
This past Monday night at anti-conservative Mall owner Mel Simon’s house, Indiana Democratic chairman Dan Parker held a mandatory meeting of top Democrats. The attendance list was a who’s who of Indiana democrats:
US Representative Peter J. Visclosky (D) Indiana 1st Congressional District.
US Representative Joe Donnelly (D) Indiana 2st Congressional District
US Representative Brad Ellsworth (D) Indiana 9th Congressional
US Representative Baron Hill (D) Indiana 9th Congressional District
André Carson (D) Indiana 7th Congressional District
State Rep. Pat Bauer (D) Indiana Speaker of the House
The purpose was making Bayh’s re-election a priority, yet Bayh and his staff were notably absent.
