An 80-year-old Chicago man shot and killed an armed man who broke into his two-story house in a pre-dawn home invasion Wednesday on the city’s West Side.
At about 5:20 a.m., the homeowner and his wife, also in her 80s, discovered the intruder entering their home through a back door. The homeowner, who had a gun, confronted and killed the burglar on the doorstep, police said. Cops said the intruder also fired his gun during the struggle.
“It’s a good thing they had a gun, or they might be dead,” said Curtis Thompson, who lives next door to the couple, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
It is hard to encapsulate what has happened to our nation in the last few days with the passage and signing of the massive health care reform legislation. Sunstein is another nutjob that has no respect for your rights, dead or alive. He’s advocated a policy where the government would “presume” someone has consented to having their organs removed when they die unless that person has explicitly indicated otherwise.
In other words, hospitals would harvest organs from people who never gave permission for this to be done.
Once again MSNBC has show it’s true colors. Or maybe I should say they’re color blind. In this segment take note they never show the face of the person with the assault rifle. The do however show the “cracker’s” face that has a piece on his hip.
Later, the MSNBC news-twit Contessa Brewer says, “Here you have a man of color, in the presidency, and white people showing up with guns.”
They even have a token black guy in on this sham, as you’ll soon see.
Obama is slowly rewriting America’s dialogue with other countries, while at the same time calling those that are pro-life, against illegal immigration, military veterans or gun owners rightwing extremists.
But you have to applaud Obama for transparency. He’s even extending transparency to the terrorist by releasing Bush-era memos about CIA interrogation techniques.
A former top official in the administration of President George W. Bush called the publication of the memos “unbelievable.”
“It’s damaging because these are techniques that work, and by Obama’s action today, we are telling the terrorists what they are,” the official said. “We have laid it all out for our enemies. This is totally unnecessary. … Publicizing the techniques does grave damage to our national security by ensuring they can never be used again — even in a ticking-time- bomb scenario where thousands or even millions of American lives are at stake.”
And they’re no longer terrorists and it’s no longer the “war on terror.”. According to the new Director of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, they’re now known as “man-made disaster makers” and the war on terror is an “overseas contingency operation.”
