Today I received a special treat. One of our fellow Bloggers was kind enough to bring me a salad and some mostaccioli. It was delicious, and the company was even better. Ugh, no – it wasn’t Craig but I would have shared some with him.
My son and I were at the lake and I slept in the living room so he wouldn’t hear my cussing and moaning, just trying to not scare the kid. Being a typical guy I figured they’d go away with a good night’s sleep. Boy, was I wrong. By 6 a.m. I couldn’t bear it any longer and had him drive me to the hospital. Every bump we hit felt like a thousand knives going into my abdomen. Soon I was on the operating table and I now no longer possess an appendix. I do however have this nice looking caterpillar-like scar sealed shut with metal staples. They had to open me all the way up as opposed to laparoscopic surgery so they could scrub the poison out of my lower abdomen with a saline-based antibotic solution. August has not been my month. I’m going to take a couple of Darvocets and go to bed. And yes, typing this hurt like hell but it’s good fodder for a Blog Starting tomorrow, the domain AND name for this Blog will be www.angrywhiteboy.org. I’d appreciate updates on your links. As reported by Michael Silence Don’t be surprised to see more of this as the blogosphere grows and matures. Josh Wolf, a 24-year-old freelance journalist, made headlines last week as the first known blogger to be thrown into federal prison for not cooperating with judiciary officials. One of the Internet’s earliest video bloggers, Wolf refused to testify before a U.S. grand jury and also refused to hand over unpublished video footage he shot during a clash between San Francisco police and anti-G8 protesters in July 2005. Wolf might normally be protected by California’s shield law. But federal prosecutors, who want to see if Wolf’s footage shows a San Francisco police car being set on fire at the protest, say they have jurisdiction over the case because the car was paid for in part by federal dollars.

From my digging, I’m guessing it’s Jacqueline Dowdell but I could be wrong. It’s an interesting Blog, I would suggest you link to her as she offers quite a different perspective. BTW, she’s Blogging from the Allen County Public Library: 199.8.210.55 (199.8.210.55), 64 hops max, 40 byte packets Also, found this: And this:
[.. An increasing number of workers are losing their jobs because of e-mail violations, according to an annual survey of about 300 companies released Monday. A third of employers in the study sacked staffers in thepast yearfor violating workplace e-mail policies. That’s up from about one in four the previous year. “People don’t see a difference between phone conversations and e-mail — but legally, there’s a really big difference,” said Keith Crosley of tech firm Proofpoint, which conducted the survey with Forrester Consulting. [.. Workers fired E-mail is one thing. But according to the survey, employers have a problem with blogging, too. In the survey, 7 percent of the respondents had fired people in the past year for breaking the rules. |
