Dan Rather: Obama couldn’t sell watermelonsPosted by Dan in Health & Education, Obama, PoliticsBased on the Dan Coats campaign’s press release this morning, it seems they’re having a hard time delineating the truth. Tags: Dan Coats, Greg Zoeller, Mitch Daniels, Pete SeatWe’ve added links to 32 Tea Party web sites. They can be found on the right sidebar, about half way down under “Indiana Tea Party Web Sites,” and also at the top of the our site. If we missed you, let us know and we will add your site. We’d suggest visiting them we you have time. Tags: Indiana Tea Party Web SitesI follow the Tea Party movement in Indiana and nationally. There’s rumblings of creating a third party to field “Tea Party” candidates. Wrong move.

Mr. Didier Asks for OpennessPosted by Jim Sack in City & County Government, Fort Wayne, PoliticsThere was little of significance on the agenda last night at council, so little in fact that members wondered why President Marty Bender had even bothered to hold the meeting. You see, there seems to be a cycle to the business of council not unlike various rhythms of life and, in council’s case, they peak during the budget season when there is a parade of paper and people to the table. Oink, oink, politicians using your money for personal gainPosted by Jim Sack in PoliticsBy Jim Sack Interesting. The Wall Street Journal reports on page A3, column one, paragraph seven, line four that our guy, Mark Souder, has, at least once, taken taxpayer money and used it for his personal gain. Read the story. He is not alone and the let us call him just one more poor victim of a system that fails to keep close tabs on your tax dollars. Poor Mark. Victim. I am sure he is suffering.
By Jim Sack Most Americans distrust their government, or so a poll states. After first blush that seems very sad, the government Lincoln described as of, for and by the people should be considered a threat to our rights. So, three thoughts have come to mind: the validity of the poll, whether the outcome is anything new, and what are our rights? I don’t cite much that comes by way of CNN, but this poll is interesting. |
