Crusader Senator Tom Wyss (R) is at it again this time targeting 16 year-old kids about to enter the world of driving.
As reported by WANE.com
[.. That's why Wyss plans to introduce a bill that would change the driving age from 16 to 17, mandate drivers education for new drivers, and make sure teens have at least 50 hours of driving practice. While Southside High Schoolers see the wisdom in waiting another year to drive, they aren't thrilled about delaying some of their freedom and independence.
My son’s been driving my truck for 4 months on his permit and he’s adept and cautious. As a matter of fact he drove me to the hospital when my appendix ruptured with me screaming in the seat beside him in pain and handled it like a champ.
Georgia is the only other state to require new drivers to be 17, but only if the teens did not take drivers education.
Welcome to the Socialist Republic of Indiana. Look out California, we’re catching up to you.

You never know what will turnup on Craigslist. Found this today on the Rants and Raves section:

Where can a white guy go to meet a mexican girl? It seems that all the bars I go to there’s only white girls. And the few times I ever see a mexican girl she’s always got a boyfriend.
no — it’s NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests

As reported by the News Sentinel:
The Downtown Improvement District’s “Stay Safe…Stay With Us” incentives package offers discounted rates at the Hilton for patrons at seven downtown restaurants. For those drinking alcohol, the Hilton will provide free shuttle service to and from the hotel.
Not a bad idea, especially during the holidays.
Thursday’s announcement comes two weeks after the DID announced its “Destination Relaxation” tourism package involving six restaurants, the Embassy Theatre, Fort Wayne Civic Theatre, Fort Wayne Philharmonic and the Hilton. A night out for couples valued at up to $350 is available for as little as $159.

Sexually Obsessed Craig over at irrelevant had this to say today:
Loyal blog reader Jeff Pruitt has pointed out this article in today’s Journal Gazette concerning allegations of push polling in the 3rd District. If the Hayhurst staffer’s account is true then it calls into account the credibility of the poll.
But since the polling company refuses to provide Sylvia Smith with transcripts of the poll questions, we’ll probably never know. So what are they hiding?
Did I mention that Republicans have the ethical standards of horny canines?
The same article states the following:
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee – the Democrats’ counterpart to the NRCC – has not spent any money on behalf of Hayhurst.
Not sure about his reference to horny dogs, maybe it’s an obsession with him. However as I’ve said before, the DCCC has no faith in Hayhurst. He’s about as exciting as watching two dogs humping.

Paul Helmke is showing his true colors. Fort Wayne Observed reported today:
Paul Helmke has begun traveling around the country on behalf of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence to endorse candidates for the US House of Representatives.
So far, the endorsed candidates are Democrats.
Can you pick out who’s in this picture?

Tammi McKee, the Republican candidate for Wayne Township assessor recently changed her property records to reflect the fact that an above ground pool was missing from the assessment. It means her property tax bill will now be HIGHER. She did the right thing.
However.. her Democratic opponent Bev Zuber is whining about it stating she should not be able to change her own records.
Figures.
