And his name is Peter Recchio of the Tea Party of Michiana Action Coalition in Elkhart. Mr. Recchio has been trouble in the past with his overbearing ego, and like a bully in the sandbox he’s now attacking one of the hardest working conservatives I know, Monica Boyer.
Recchio has been circulating a childish email, (see below) attempting to shut down the efforts of an Indiana coalition of TEA Party groups. The effort was established by Monica as Hoosier’s for a Conservative Senate, (HFCS) and Recchio wants to destroy her efforts. Why? Because he’s not in charge.
From the HFCS website.
Over 70 Groups gathered in Tipton Indiana to Unite for one cause. A CONSERVATIVE United States Senator! Groups from as far north as South Bend, and as far south as Evansville made the snowy trip to Tipton Indiana where unity was thick in the room. There was a consensus that Indiana’s TEA Party Movement must unite around a single conservative Candidate.
His efforts to split the tea party movement will not have much of an effect, in that his angry voice represents at best a minuscule portion of the conservative movement in Indiana.
Stay classy Pete.

Subject: Fwd: Your comments pleaseDear Mr Cavuto, please read below a press release that our group patriot group TEA-MAC (Tea Party of Michiana ACTION Coalition), located in Elkhart, In. has distributed. We are in the adjacent county from Monica Boyer’s location and, know her very well since her early entry in the tea party movement. We understand, with great dismay, from her personal facebook site, you have invited her on your show.
We are locked in a struggle in Indiana to oust Barack Obama’s proclaimed “favorite republican” Senator Richard Lugar and his progressive extreme leftist agenda. One quick look at Lugar’s voting record indicates this socialistic leaning quite clearly. We have a strong willed constitutionally conservative candidate declared to run against Lugar with the vast majority of Indiana voter support: Richard Mourdock, current Indiana State Treasurer. It will be a tough job to unseat a 30 year fixture, but the time is right, and so is Mourdock, to do the job. We can beat Lugar.
We at TEA-MAC, and others in the state movement, are being kidnapped by a small group, Hoosiers for Conservative Senate, recently formed and run by tea party opportunists Monica Boyer and her associate/side-kick Greg Fettig. They simply do not have our movement first at heart, and are in this cause for the most part for personal gain and aggrandizement. This can be corroborated by MANY tea party leaders and general tea party members throughout the state with little research.
PLEASE do not derail our cause in Indiana by giving Boyer a national forum to split the conservative vote, thus allowing Lugar prevail over our future for another six years. Our job is to educate the mainstream republican in Indiana of Lugar’s leftist positions. We do not have the time in our fight to stave off the progressive onslaught, and be deterred from that focus by insiders that do not share our passion or focus. Every truly committed, qualified, conservative/constitutional stalwart candidate, needs to be in DC representing us to return our country to it’s moral and constitutional underpinnings.
Boyer and Fettig are tainted news; I have seen firsthand as a longtime viewer that you report the news as it truly is, you seem to have a sense of the REALITIES involved in a story. Do your research and you will find that this Judas does not need a positive pulpit on your show. Help us save Indiana, PLEASE.
Peter Recchio / TEA-MAC / www.tea.mac.org / precchio@comcast.net / (phone # redacted)
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MARCH 29th, 2011 MEDIA ADVISORY TEA-MAC and other prominent tea party organizations disavow any affiliation to Hoosiers for Conservative Senate Peter Recchio and Susan Chilberg, co-founders of TEA-MAC, a prominent Elkhart, In. based tea party /patriot group today announced that the group has no affiliation with the recently formed group Hoosiers for Conservative Senate. “While we believe that Senator Lugar urgently needs to be replaced, and have enthusiastically endorsed current State Treasurer Richard Mourdock in the upcoming primary and senate race to do so, we do not want to be associated with the sometimes caustic and careless remarks made towards Senator Lugar attributed to the leaders of Hoosiers for Conservative Senate Monica Boyer and Greg Fettig. Remarks about the Senator should be of educational quality as to Lugar’s clearly leftist voting record, a record which TEA-MAC membership is ardently opposed to, all the while respecting his service to the state of Indiana” according to Recchio. Chilberg added” TEA-MAC has it’s own voice, and has not given this group the permission, nor do they have the right to speak for us directly or by innuendo, which they have done. We consider their conduct unacceptable behavior, and a potential blight on the individual tea party members of Indiana”. Recchio further commented that “the leaders of this dubious small group, Boyer and Fettig, have usurped the individuality of tea party members and their groups such as TEA-MAC, by representing themselves as self appointed spokespersons. They were never given that permission by eitherTEA-MAC or the broader tea party members of Indiana, nor the broader tea party groups in the state”. “The strength of the movement is in it’s Independence, and we do not need self appointed opportunists to speak for us. We have clearly displayed we are perfectly capable as a true grassroots movement, to speak for ourselves. We have had correspondence with many Indiana tea party members who abhor Boyer and Fettig’s methods and practices, and want no involvement with them or their group Hoosiers for Conservative senate” offered Chilberg. Please visit www.tea-mac.org to learn more about the group, or e-mail precchio@tea-mac.org with comments. Dear Neil, Are we to understand that you have scheduled Monica Boyers to speak on your show for the Indiana Tea Party and 912 groups? Ms. Boyers has sent out notices on Facebook indicating this invitation to appear on your show. PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW FOX NEWS TO BECOME PART OF THIS MISREPRESENTATION OF THE INDIANA TEA PARTY! DO NOT TAKE FOR GRANTED THAT HOOSIERS FOR A CONSERVATIVE SENATE IS A LARGE GROUP. ASK FOR ACCOUNTABILITY TO PROVIDE THE NAMES OF THESE GROUPS AND CONFIRM THEM YOURSELF. Hoosiers for a Conservative Senate, Monica Boyers and Greg Fettig represent a small handful of groups that largely have no members or meetings. Some of these alleged leaders list four or five groups under their leadership. These are Meetup groups that chat but never meet. Several other groups are no longer in existence. Accountability! Do your job! We do not wish to create discord within the Tea Party movement. But we feel the actions taken by Hoosiers for a Conservative Senate in these past three months actually generates this discord and creates negative public attention directed towards ALL Indiana Tea Party groups. Our group, for one, has come under attack from constituents asking why the Tea Party has publicly disrespected Senators Lugar, Coats and Governor Mitch Daniels. They are angry at us for this insolence. It makes things very difficult for honorable groups to bear such a burden when we’re trying to do the right thing. Hoosiers for a Conservative Senate has tried to become an umbrella over all Indiana Tea Party and 912 groups. The major Tea Party groups statewide have distanced themselves from HFCS as more and more investigation into the group indicates collusion. Media needs to investigate the connection/friendship between these two HFCS leaders, Greg Fettig/Monica Boyer and FreedomWorks of Indiana, America Refocused, Hoosier Patriots and certain candidates of their choice. This group is indicative of the Delphi Tecnique. Be aware! As this group gains power through the media we see these attacks shifting beyond Lugar. Threats and insinuations towards other politicians are not acceptable. “Bloody knuckles” is not acceptable. “Humiliation” is not acceptable. The Tea Party formed to educate and inform the public. This accurate information will allow folks to make a self educated decision on election day. We do not manipulate and persuade. We certainly do not threaten. This group does NOT speak for all the Indiana Tea Party and 912 groups. Their most recent three day event in Indianapolis carried some big names. Dick Armey from FreedomWorks, Todd Rokita, Governor Mitch Daniels, State Treasurer Richard Mourdock and Senator Mike Delph. While this event was open to every member of every Tea Party, not just the leaders, attendance was barely 40 people, as reported by the Wall Street Journal. FreedomWork’s Dick Armey presented Governor Daniels with an award, which HFCS criticized: “…as of this time, however, we in the TEA movement wish to clarify Mr. Armey’s statement. We, the TEA and 9-12 group leadership, do not endorse Mr. Daniels at this time for any office he may run for.” When people see this in the media they consider every Tea Party is included. It would behoove you to investigate and discover this list of 70 before you print or report that these two people speak for the Indiana Tea Party and 912 groups. They do not. Do your job. Sincerely,
Anna Kroyman

I'm glad somebody is finally exposing him and his ilk for the ego-centric divisive frauds they are.
Thank you, Danny!
I, too, have dealt with this tea party pirate. I warned the movement as I could, but then stepped back, knowing his kind always show their jolly rogers over time.
My shots over his bow:

And here is a federal case showing that me and Boyer are not the only ones that Recchio has crossed.

This same pirate threw me overboard!
why do you not ask the question, why is Monica supporting Daniels???? He is a Rino flip flop and cannot be trusted.
I do not have to ask that question, as I already know she does not support Daniels (for 2012 if that's what you mean), and neither do I.
Ego and the pursuit of power will kill the Tea Party. To be a good leader, you have to be a good follower. Peter Recchio is neither. After reading that email, I'm not sure why anyone would follow his lead.
This man is a perfect example of why people throw up their hands and walk away from the process all together. It's just not worth it.
Peter's father? http://www.toptenz.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/02…
We are fools if we allow this drama to sidetrack our efforts. It is beneath us. If Recchio has a problem with Boyer, they should sit down and resolve it like adults. If you wish to be taken seriously, then you can not behave like amateurs. This sort of fiasco is exactly what a seasoned politician like Lugar hopes for – for the movement to replace him to implode without him even dirtying his hands. Shame on Recchio. Put your ego back in your pants and get down to the real business of doing what is best for Indiana.
Yes, and your credentials are unquestionable, Connie dear. His, on the other hand …. well, there is a Will to Power.
Very simply, Monica is not supporting Daniels.
Turkette moved me to finish my series on the leadership methodology of Peter Recchio, including misleading the press in a bid to swell ranks. Find it all at http://hoosierpatriots.blogspot.com/
We cannot afford the leadership he has demonstrated.
This is the same man who , when there was a 10-12 tea party coalitition , he was one of several who took our 2 or 3 tea parties, without others in the coalitition knowing about it. I will never forget when we were on a conference call and 1 man said it sounds like the government we have now. No transparency ….. no one was advised to what was going on till a call came to some of us to let us know what was going on.. guess what.. We started to leave the coalititon and it is no more…. what a damage to our movement. The things going on now is just what the left is glowing about …lets regroup and make things happen.Monica has a God given voice to make things happen , that some of us wish we had, and are not jealous because of what she has done.. keep up the good work Monica for our Country , and not our egos…..
Lisa and Bonnie Corn get it. Strife inside any group will cause it to dissolve and will be used against them. This is not the time to show discontent at any level. If we are to take the gains needed in 2012, our strength will be gotten only in a unity of one voice. Bind together!
The title of the AWBs post says it all. We've got a turd floating, and need to flush it. There is no "let's all get along" with Mr Pete. I've seen first hand what the gang of four is capable of. When they say they're right – just shut up and go along with them. No arguments, no dissension.
Dick Lugar has my support. This tea party disarray shows that it can not put forward a coherent program of government. If Lugar is so liberal, why did he vote against Obamacare?
Can I get an invite to read hoosierpatriots.blogspot.com ?
