Sources in Indianapolis have confirmed to us that Murray Clark, Indiana Republican Party Chairman is slated to announce his resignation, possibly by the end of this week.

Clark was a delegate to the Republican National Convention in 1996 and has been a delegate to every biennial Indiana State Republican Convention since 1994. Murray has served as Marion County Republican Central Committee Treasurer and Ward Chairman and has served on the Township Advisory Board and Election Board. He ran for Lieutenant Governor with running mate David McIntosh in 2000. In 2003, he campaigned for Governor and later became the campaign chairman for Governor Mitch Daniels.

His resignation will come on the heels of party executive director Kevin Ober announcing his departure and Trevor Foughty, communications director leaving for D.C. to become communications director for congressman-elect Todd Young.
