JudgeKenS The election commission will not hear the anonymous charges filed against Judge Scheibenberger, that alleged the judge kept attorneys and defendants waiting for 41 minutes while he attended a breakfast at the recent Black Expo. Scheibenberger had informed his court reporter in advance that he would be running late.

Their reason for not hearing the complaint was the person that filed it would not reveal their name.

    Yeah for Kenny !
You would think an attorney should know we have a right to face our accusers.

  2. goodoleboy says:

Interesting the speed at which this was posted. What about the recent guest editorials in the JG that were not as flattering for the incumbent judge?

Ric Runested strike me as white, angry and boyish. Is he banned from this blog?

  3. AWB says:

Why is how fast I got this story out there relevant to anything? We've been breaking stories for several years. Also, why should we be posting editorials from the JG here? If you want to read them, go read them there.

And no, Ric is not banned from this site, only a few anonymous trolls and a few people that could not follow the established rules on comment posting.

  4. goodoleboy says:

Good to know you are not in the tank for the incumbent judge!

  5. AWB says:

I never said one way or the other. IMHO, people need to consider the Judge's historical service on the bench. How he handled his criminal cases, if he handed down proper sentences, and the overall the soundness of his legal decisions.

  6. ransom says:

Or we could just ask Buscopat for a few good cheers?
I guess any attorney with an issue for a judge must risk blowback to report?
    Whistleblowers need not apply.

  7. BuscoPat says:

I like Ken personally and my wife used to work with his wife, so we have been a few nonpolitical places together.
Good cheers to everyone, tip up your cold beer and enjoy, like every good person with German heritage should.

  8. ransom says:

Dougb, excuse me for noting this, but that seems a naive navigation device in this age of "hit 'em hard" modern Alinskyish politics. Some could point to over the top attacks on our Chief Executive — does that tempt you to write a check to the DNC? Will you cancel your check if the currently hallowed judge dishes out a shot that you deem to be below the belt?

  9. Tom says:

I believe everyone should be able to drink beer, that is why I am voting for Sceibenberger. My dog who got in a fight told me so. I need another beer.

  10. Mark Andrews says:

Anonymous trolls! LOL That remided me of that Judge back in the 80's who accused girls of getting what they deserved for "Trolling the bars"….Who was that?

  11. ransom says:

I will try to type more slowly in the future.

  12. sooj says:

    Judge Herman Busse I believe.

  13. ransom says:

Doug, I can't help you much with any of that, I've spent way too much time in the school of hard knocks to be in touch with my sensitive side. This I can help you with: If it was Alinskyish as an adjective that threw you for a loop then read up on Saul and his politics of personal destruction: http://www.tysknews.com/Articles/dnc_corruption.h…

Also please note that most sitting judges survive retention votes due to the sheeple mindset of Americans. We just rise above that if we are to gain a government free of good old boy politics. We must think hard, analyze and be prepared to stand against powerful incumbents for the good of the Republic. Not make "retention" our default or their right.

  14. John R. says:

I'd like to see Wendy Davis defeat the judge at the ballot box, not by pre BS nonsense, accusations, etc. She needs to reel in her friends and knock off the nonsense. I'm not sure I'm for someone resorting to this pre attack. The bench is a serious job and experience does count, alot.

  15. ransom says:

I know little about the "pre attack" but have investigated it to a degree. My investigation has not tied any candidate to it, but rather persons upset about Scheibenberger's past as (I have been told) an attorney representing pornographers.

Many seem ready to blame this on Davis (someone I have never met nor spoken with) but I have viewed no evidence supporting that claim, and rather have concluded that it is supporters of the incumbant who make that charge, thinking Davis to be the most threatening challenger.

I could be wrong, for I, too, am a product of government schools. (Other than my law degree)

  16. Guest says:

I was all set to vote for Davis, until I heard her speek to some urban youth, and she played the victim card. I will be sticking my vote to Scheibenberger.
