Does anybody know why Principal Rooney keeps forgetting to update his sex-offender status?
Posted by AWB in Sex OffendersLOS ANGELES — The actor who played the principal in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” has been charged with failing to update his sex offender registration status.
Actor Jeffrey Jones failed to update his information with California officials after his birthday in September, Los Angeles county district attorney spokeswoman Sandi Gibbons said.
Jail records show the 63-year old was arrested by Los Angeles police on June 23 and released after posting $20,000 bail.
Jones has appeared in numerous films including “Beetlejuice” and “Sleepy Hollow,” but is probably best known as the malevolent principal, Edward Rooney, in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.”
He pleaded no contest in 2003 in Los Angeles to a felony charge of employing a 14-year-old boy to pose for sexually explicit photos.
It is the second time the actor has been arrested for failing to keep his sex offender status current.
He was arrested in Florida in 2004 for the same offense.
He is due for arraignment on July 14.

The poor victim of puritanical sexual laws and Christians forcing their morals onto him. (Not to mention depriving him of the friendship of their minor sons!)
He is obviously pro-choice when it comes to sexual mores. Probably best if he stays in California — as close to Hollyweird as possible. He can just blend in with the crowd there.
