AG’s line-up to sue over health care bill
Posted by AWB in Health & Education, Obama, PoliticsIt’s going to be interesting to see how many state attorney generals follow this same tact. 12 and counting right now.
Less than eight hours after Congress passed sweeping health care reforms, Virginia’s attorney general announced a legal challenge.
Republican Ken Cuccinelli said early Monday that he will invoke a 12-day-old state law in challenging what he and other conservatives decry as an unconstitutional overreach of federal authority.
Cuccinelli joins several other conservative state attorneys general from the region promising fast legal pushback after the House of Representatives finished passage of the legislation Sunday night.
South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster said Sunday he will join Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum in again promising a legal challenge of the health care reform measure passed by the U.S. House.
Cuccinelli said he would base his U.S. District Court lawsuit on a 12-day-old Virginia law and file the action as soon as President Barack Obama signs the bill into law.
Virginia became the first state to enact a law that bucks any effort by the federal government to impose federal health care reform in the states.
Similar measures were filed or proposed in 34 other state legislatures.
Bring it.
Which states are moving to block healthcare law?
The comments came after a Sunday night conference call in which attorneys general from 11 states expressed support for legal action to block the law. In addition to Florida and South Carolina, the participating attorneys general were from Alabama, Nebraska, Texas, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Washington, Utah, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

Let me see if I have this straight:
The Senate scraps the House Obamacare bill, then approves a Senate Obamacare bill and a "package" to reconcile the scrapped House Obamacare bill with the Senate-approved Senate Obamacare bill.
The Senate approves of its own package.
At least the Senate and I have something in common. I approve of my own package, too … and I haven't heard anyone else complain yet IF you know what I mean. YO!
The House of Representatives — which represents corporate interests NOT the interests of citizens — is expected to reconcile this illegal, immoral morass LEGALLY within days.
There are so many layers of B.S here that I can't possibly break it down in a blog post. No wonder people can't/don't//won't comprehend this stuff.
It is pure, open FRAUD but most people just don't get it. They don't want to get it. People crave government propaganda like "the NBC Nightly News," "24" and "Monsters vs. Aliens" 3D-HD-TV in their living rooms served with a fresh one-liter bottle of Pepsi Maxx Cease Fire, some mega-hot Doritos chips and three Big Mac Wraps.
Why the big rush this week to jam in all the criminal health hijinks? Wha hoppen? Were the recent the Austin, TX I.R.S. drone attack and Pentagon shootings not scary enough for the Obama Administration to use to rush people into some kind of panicked action?
Apparently flying a plane into an I.R.S. building and attempting murder at the Pentagon just don't rise to the level of terrorism anymore. What does a guy have to do to be called a "terrorist" nowadays? Burn down his family's house? Leave behind a politically-charged suicide letter for the international mainstream media to call a "manifesto"? Create a Facebook page?
Perhaps had the White House described the criminal act as "terrorism" people would have been more scared and therefore more malleable — you know — like health care, which is being squeezed into a new form.
The government is merely REFORMING health-insurance models like a child forms and reforms zoo animals and fake food with Play Dough. Congress, at the command of President Blackwhite Obama, are reforming health insurance like so much clay with their financial, insurance, pharmaceutical and hospital playmates.
If you see a liberal democrat today, forget the hugs.
Punch the *&^%$ in the nose and tell him that's from your grandkids.
Dean,
You make a very good point that while health care is the issue in one hand that everybody sees, the magician is manipulating many other industries with the other hand that nobody is watching.
Hocus pocus, now you see it, now you….
Muaaahahaha… this liberal democrat will go right to the first hospital and get my nose set and have the govt send AWB the bill… wait, I have insurance, and a job.
