First, sorry for the lack of new stuff. I’ve been very busy with several new projects.

I found this in the wee hours of this morning. If Obama gets his way, is this what we have to look forward to?

Up to 1,200 needless deaths, patients abused, staff bullied to meet targets… yet a secret inquiry into failing hospital says no one’s to blame.

We have this to look forward to only if you assume that if the United States were to implement some form of socialized medicine we would not be able to do it better than the UK.

What world have you been living in for the past year? Nationalized healthcare has been the direction of the government since Teh One was elected. Government-run healthcare is bad everywhere. Just ask our veterans.

Nationalized healthcare has been the direction the government has been headed since long before 'Teh One' [sic] was elected. I have several anecdotes regarding veteran care being exceptional.

If your point is simply to be incendiary, then you have certainly succeeded. If your intent is to take a serious look at an issue then, well, keep trying, you can do it.

Socialized medicine in the United States already exists, as does public insurance. The problem is that we are paying 10 times as much as it should cost. The fact that there is an irrational fear of the word 'socialism' on the part of conservatives is akin to ignoring the 800 lb gorilla.
