Little late but thought I'd add.

This is very typical. I do market research and have found that most, if not all people running for government get most of their contributions from attorneys, architects, construction companies and doctors.

It's a friends with money game.

I was told today that the Mayor's re-election war chest would be remarkable. What is truly remarkable is how many of the contributors do not seem to be local citizens committed to good government, but Indy names who have anted up. No wonder there was so much agitation when Harper tried to introduce his ordinance.

So, the message is sure: unless you are friends with attorneys, architects, and/or doctors, don't run for local office! Oh, wait, they comprise the entire council!
