Now here’s the funny of the day. Paul (turncoat) Helmke is giving Obama an “F” on gun control.

A statement from Mr. RINO via the Brady Center:

In his first year as President, Barack Obama’s continuing concessions to the “guns anywhere” mentality of the gun lobby and lack of leadership for common-sense gun laws has earned him a grade of “F” from the nation’s leading group fighting to prevent gun violence.

sorry paul

President Obama signed legislation letting people carry concealed weapons in national parks and in checked luggage on Amtrak trains, adopted the gun lobby’s empty rhetoric about just “enforcing the laws on the books,” muzzled Cabinet members who expressed any support for stronger gun laws and failed to appoint permanent leadership at the agency that polices the gun industry. This White House even voiced no objection to people carrying guns near Presidential events.

“If I had been told, in the days before Barack Obama’s inauguration, that his record on gun violence prevention would be this poor, I would not have believed it,” said Paul Helmke, President of the Brady Center.

After we invited Helmke to speak regarding Mayor Henry’s first year to the Conservative Breakfast Club in October 2008, (an invitation I still regret agreeing to), Paul marched downtown and paraded on stage with Obama, Linda Pence, Tom Hayhurst, Tom Henry and Michelle Obama. Talk about pandering.

Poor guy must feel like a whore that didn’t get paid.

    Dan:

    I am SO living this.

I''d give Barry an A+ for his gun control stance…so far.

And that's about the ONLY place "O" rates a passing grade.

    But hey, that's ust my (gun-owning) opinion…

    ;)

Sorry, Paul…must suck to be you these days, huh?

  5. ConservProf says:

    Tim,

    I was at that breakfast.

I believe it was shortly thereafter that The Perm came out so strongly against Republican beliefs. We were all stunned.

    We continue to be disgusted.

  6. timzank says:

He's not just against republican beliefs, he's off the freakin' reservation!
