Or more directly, do you still watch 60 minutes?

If you do, quit wasting your time.

Last night, 60 Minutes reviewed the book “Game Change,” which is all over the news for reporting that Harry Reid was quoted as describing Obama as – “light-skinned with “no Negro dialect unless he wants one.”

Watch this video, then tell us what you think.

In total, the time 60 Minutes spent on each person featured in this segment was as follows:

Palin: 10:04
Clinton: 1:30
Obama: 0.58
Reid: 0

Go figure.

Even more amazing is how the democratic leadership has come out in support of Reid, including Nancy (I never saw a plastic surgeon I didn’t lie) Pelosi.

I’ll agree it’s an outdated term, and it has no place in today’s vernacular. Reid was dead-on wrong for using it. He’s just as wrong as republican Trent Lott was back in 2002, when Democrats attacked him after he praised the late Sen. Strom Thurmond, a former segregationist, at his 100th birthday party. As a result, Lott resigned his leadership post.

That aside, are Reid’s comments worthy of further discussion? Maybe the real issue is the fact that many democrat leaders cannot embrace the fact that we have a “black man” in the white house. Maybe the fact that his skin was light enough, and his vocabulary so eloquent, they thought, well hey, he’s almost white.

Maybe the democrats are the ones that are truly color blind.

I’m just saying..
