After giving the American people and the citizens of Indiana a good porking on healthcare legislation, Evan Bayh is now looking down the road towards the elections next year.
Via Politico:
The Politico is reporting that some of the more moderate Democratic senators are asking the White House to drop the cap-and-trade legislation. Mary Landrieu (D-La.) told the Politico that she and several Senate Democrats told the Obama Administration that the cap-and-trade bill should be put off.
It seems that the contentious battle over health care has taken its toll. Evan Bayh (D-Ind.), Kent Conrad (D-N.D.), and Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) have all indicated that passage of cap and trade next year is unlikely.
That’s right. Lets wait until after the elections. We certainly don’t want to gouge out your other eyeball. After all, you’ll need to see what lever to push when you enter the voting booth.

Dan:
Now suppose Evan Bayh (by some bizarre twist of fate) does NOT get re-elected…(no tears shed here)
Would YOU buy a car from THIS guy???
(after all, he WILL need another “job”)
Wonder how that “hope and change” will work out for his ilk THEN?
He can always become a Mr. Mom. His wife IS the major breadwinner of the family.
But, with the Senate’s Health Insurance bill’s passing the House and getting signed into law, his wife may be out of a job also!
just wait, Bayh will run he’s a fiscal responsible senator commercials and since most hoosiers are headline readers and have short memories they’ll believe him and he will be re-elected. Alot of people have received his “personal emails” with him saying he’s fiscally responsible. I wouldn’t shed a tear if he lost either but he’s personable and doubt he can be beaten.
