Hmmm... following Dave's logic, maybe we should just round up the children of welfare recipients and kill them. Seems like poverty is a death sentence to Dave. Where does that leave the folks who have overcome being born into poverty? And Dave is assuming that every woman who has doubts about her pregnancy will become a welfare mom. Does Dave have data to back up his claim? As for the idea of sterilizing women...do we really want to give the government that power? Sounds like eugenics to me. Are we to become a society that puts a price tag on innocent human life eliminating those who are "negative economic units" or "worthless eaters"?

Wouldn't people rather pay for abortions with tax money than countless years of welfare? Abortion seems to be cheaper. If they don't want the children then you know they are going to end up in the system in the end. Maybe they need to work sterilization into the plan so it will be a one time thing.
