What’s happening with Barry Real Estate and the failed condo/retail development at Harrison Square? Both the city and Barry have failed to really provide any substantive answers of late.
Down in Tennessee, Barry Real Estate doesn’t seem to have any problem developing property and spending money.

Tower Investments and Barry Real Estate Companies have reached a deal to develop property adjacent to the proposed downtown convention center site, Tower announced today.

Atlanta-based Barry recently finished developing the Pinnacle at Symphony Place, a 29-story office building a few blocks south of the convention center site. The company’s senior director of development, Jimmy Barry, said the site they now plan to develop is ideal for a mixed-use commercial development, which could include office and retail space.
Meanwhile, Harrison Square continues to be left with a gapping hole.
