You’re right, it was long. But I listened to all it because I’ve met all the characters and can sympathize with most of them. I’ve been subjected to a Glynn Hines rant, so his grandstanding on lack of black hires by the mayor comes as no surprise. Of course the mayor caved, eventually putting all this out in the public domain.
But I shouldn’t talk. During 30 years in the corporate world I regularly hired “qualified women and minorities” according to the quotas I got from upper management. I retired as early as possible to get away from that bullshit.
I’ve only had the chance to listen to about 1/2 of the podcast but he makes some very good points about racism. I’ll get back to it because I’m interested in the “rest of the story”.
