Yesterday I heard Pat White talking about how some hacker stole over a million identities and he found out one of them was a merchant he patronizes. So, what did Pat do? He called LifeLock, a company that provides Identity Theft Protection.
He goes on to explain how he was *so* impressed with their services, he cut a deal with them to save you money. If you mention his name or, when on their web site and use “Pat White” in the promo code box, you get 10% off.
He’s full of crap.
He didn’t cut a deal with them. Just like he didn’t pay for his sleep number bed. From the web site www.lifelockaffiliates.com you can find their affiliates program where it states:
Our affiliate program has a rev-share program that pays you a 30% commission.
So go ahead and use his promo code, and he gets a nifty 30% commission. Then again, if you don’t want to line his pockets because he flat-out lied to you, go to this link and use a different promo code.
This is really nothing new. Rush, Hannity, Kim Komando all use the same affiliate marketing programs. Just don’t believe Pat when he tells you he cut you the deal of a lifetime.
I bet Pat won’t lift this story off the blog for show prep.

Pat White has NO credability as far as I’m concerned. I just use his list of sponsors as my list of places not to do business with….and always have. I just don’t listen to him anymore.
Absolutely correct. Wonder how WOWO gets around the FCC “sponsorship identification” rule where the person, company or entity on who’s behalf the announcement is made has to be identified by name. I heard the Lifelock ad, and no, I didn’t hear that it was sponsored by Lifelock.
If it weren’t for Matt Drudge and/or Neal Boortz, Mr White would have no material at all. Probelem is, Pat waits a day or so before using their material. Either he needs that much time to make up his adlibs, or, he has a really slowwwwwww internet connnection. Just think, if Obama get’s to control the internet, Mr White could be out of a job……..all we would hear on the radio would be his not-so-subtle commerical endorsements.
Just because he talks about Lifelock doesn’t identify them as the sponsor of the ad.
I like listening to Pat sometimes, but he is doing far too much advertising.
Let’s take calls for 5 minutes followed by 10 minutes of commercials.
Maybe WOWO should find a person to do the show that isn’t so close to retirement and padding his retirement accounts.
If I here him talk up bringing a casino to Fort Wayne one more time, I’m going to tell him to move to Reno!
I really enjoy Pat Miller’s show on Saturday though. Love someone who doesn’t take themselves so seriously.
