The Mayor is on Pat White’s show right now. It’s like listening to the liars club. One question Pat White asked was regarding the letter that Barry Real Estate sent back in response to the city’s demand for status on the condos and retail space. White asked, “So, what did the letter say?”

Henry’s response: “I have no idea.”

Either Henry’s inept, or he’s a liar.

How can the leader of Fort Wayne not know what’s going on with one of the major issues involving downtown redevelopment?

You could tell Henry was very uncomfortable with the questions White was asking. A lot of sighs and deep breaths before answering questions.

IMHO, he’s a liar.

Tom has gotten a black eye over the casino debacle. I have found at least one of his employees lying ab out the Calhoun Street “redo.” I have lost faith in Tom over those two matters and the way the Renaissance purchase was handed. I hope he is not lying to us, I still would like to trust him and believe what he has to say, but I want a second opinion, just to be sure.

    I’d have to say:
Six of one and a half dozen of the other, regarding your initial query…!

    How’s that?

    ;)

mayor henry is just a front man to the “machinery” that is truly running fort wayne. this machinery was put in place under the richards admin and has stayed on under henry. how do i know this?? i met henry at a n.w. sector meeting when he was actively touting the new clinton street bridge(martin luther bridge) he was planning to do. remind you, there was planning, artist sketch drawing of what the new bridge was going to look like, so it has been in discussion for several months before they released the news to the public. although i knew the answer, i asked henry who owned the bridge, meaning who is responsible for its upkeep and maintenance. henry didn’t know. you mean thru all the meetings he was supposedly sitting in on discussing financing, the impact on the city, and all the ramifications that goes into major project like this, he didn’t know this simple guestion?? after stuttering and stammering, he finally guessed the county. wrong. finally, after some awkward moments passed by, someone in his contingent finally corrected the mayor stating the state owned the bridge. now, as someone else has pointed out during the pat white show, the mayor says he doesn’t know what was in the hardball response that the city received a few weeks ago. i believe the mayor. he just does what he is told to do.
