why should i pay for them to have health insurance and other benefits when i can’t afford it. if i was married, i would have to pay for my wife and kid(s) to be covered. GOD created ADAM and EVE, not adam and steve. Obama, is your wife just a front. what are your true intentions.
What is really sad is he is doing this to just pander to the GLBT Community and also save face at the Colorado DNC benefit. There is already a move underfoot to boycott the fundraiser and several politicians and major Queer news orgs have pulled their sponsorship and attendance, fyi.
I have very strong feelings and thoughts about health care. I grew up in a time where you were taught to take care of your self. You pay your way and you make choices. You can have a new house, 2 new cars in your driveway or you can live a little simpler and have heath care. It is called Personal Responsibility. To me that is simple. Now all the sudden we have same sex partners wanting health care. And free And the tax payers will foot the bill .. AGAIN. So I guess my answer is Hell No.
My company pays provides for health coverage of an employee’s same-sex partner, but opposite sex arrangements that are not santified by marriage are not covered. I presume that Obama’s new rule for government-provided healthcare will be similar.

Mike, let’s keep the labels out of the discussion, please. The two words you used have been replaced with “them”.

So where is the justice?
