David Letterman
The CBS funnyman joked Monday of Palin’s recent New York visit that “during the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez.”
Palin was incensed.“Laughter incited by sexually perverted comments made by a 62-year-old male celebrity aimed at a 14-year-old girl is … disgusting,” the Alaska governor said in a statement.
The former GOP veep nominee’s 14-year-old daughter, Willow, was the only Palin child to attend the game at Yankee Stadium.
Alaska’s First Dude, Todd Palin, said “any ‘jokes’ about raping my 14-year-old are despicable.”

Of course, he was talking about Palin’s 18-year-old daughter, who already has a documented ability to “get knocked up”. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to make that connection, and the GOP latching on this just makes them seem petty, IMHO.
So let’s try that shoe on the other foot, shall we, Derek? This time it’s Limbaugh saying Sasha (ok, maybe that’s not how you spell her name . . ) Obama got knocked up by Arod during the seventh inning stretch. Most likely nobody would pick up on that, right? Only, bitter, alienated-from-society types, right?
“Willow, was the only Palin child to attend the game at Yankee Stadium”
So tell me Derek, no matter which daughter this jerk was talking about….did you find it funny?
If so, explains a lot to me about your comments.
@Suzanne: Sasha – also a minor. There is no “comparison” you can use within the Obama family as none of the Obama children are [a] adults, who [b] have already demonstrated the ability to get themselves knocked up.
@AWB: Right, he’s a comic, not a journalist, it’s not like he had a team of fact-checkers figuring out in great detail which daughters were there, etc., etc., it was a throwaway line.
@Outsider: Talking about the non-minor daughter? Absolutely I found it funny. Was it like “the funniest line of the year”? No, of course not. But when you consider A-Rod’s ability to shag anything that moves, yeah, it was funny.
For a “throwaway line” he sure spent some time the next night lying-as you’ve done- regarding who the joke was referring to.
Considering this jerk has shacked up with his (now)wife & had a child out-of-wedlock, I’d say he shouldn’t be throwing any stones….oh I forget…it was a joke.
