Bob Chase retires

chase-012206-90 After 56 years, Bob Chase, sports director of WOWO radio announced he’s retiring. His last broadcast will be a week from today. Bob and his wife plan on traveling the country in their RV. He plans to continue to be the voice of the Fort Wayne Komets.

Wonderful man. When I heard that WOWO had an announcement about the future of a WOWO legend, I knew it had to be about Bob Chase because he is the ONLY legend they have.

For now, but I hear they have this amazing guy named Allen Hunt on their station and his producer is from Fort Wayne

On a more serious note, Bob was a great asset to the entire Fort Wayne community – and while I definitely understand the retirement – he will be surely missed.
