Yesterday the weather was beautiful and only 2,351 came to the game, according to stats submitted by the TinCaps to the Midwest Baseball League. That means there were approximately 5800 or so empty seats.

I’m not trying to be an agent of antagonism, but is the thrill gone already?

Wow…hasn’t taken all that long for the bloom to fall from the “rose”, has it?
Back to the usual number of attendees..give or take a dozen.
Yeah, all those EXTRAS are coming for that haute’ cuisine served at the ballpark…LOL!

Can we say “we told you so”…NOW?

    ;)

Baseball, as a family venue, was meant for the weekends.

Again – beautiful facility – lots of money spent to do it right – now spring for a double A or better yet Tripe A ball team and the cliche’ “build it and they will come” will in fact happen.

Can you show a comparison from a tuesday night game in early may last season and the seasons before that? There seemed to be a bigger crowd than cinco de mayo last year-and that was dollar beer monday night with warmer weather.

What was the attendance last weekend? Now THAT was beautiful weather. Looked pretty full sat. and sun. On the radio they are saying there is another big wed. Day crowd with school groups right now.

Its too bad peoria has the cubs affiliate..

I agree with Charles. Game attendance on a Monday would be smaller for the most part, in my opinion. However, I agree the Thrill may be gone!

Fort Wayne is #2 in the Midwest League for attendance behund Dayton. Dayton’s attendance streak is very impressive. Obviously the “shine” will eventually wear off-but the attendance thusfar has been good.
