No offense Henrietta, but in my experience, when I’ve been broke I always found it easiest to get a job in food service. The money isn’t the best of course, but it’s livable. Especially when you have no rent.
From a quick google search: http://fort.myers.diningguide.com/dl1fm.htm
There are over 100 retaurants in Ft Myers. Try knockin on those doors for a change.
Homeless AND a ‘storage’ bill of $112? $87 for tithing?
I cut my teeth working “bus” at a local restaurant WHILE I was still in HIGH SCHOOL…
It was one of Dad’s “If you want something…WORK for it” moments.
And it worked damn well.
Had a frigging CREDIT CARD before I graduated, and never was late or had it revoked for any reason since (1968).
I could go out NOW and get a damn NEW CAR with the limit on one of those cards…LOL
But I just HAVE to resist the “urge”….
Henrietta…there ARE (many) alternatives…all YOU have to do is LOOK for them.
And God ALWAYS helps those who HELP THEMSELVES.
Hmmm, the Mexican immigrants have no problem getting jobs in the agricultural sector, Henrietta. In fact these Mexicans are so certain that they can get jobs here, those that are illegals cross extremely dangerous deserts to get a dirty job here. What’s the matter Henrietta? Are these jobs too dirty for you?

$87 for tithing? Hmmm, like you, I also think there’s a whiff of BS in this story. It almost looks like this is a BS publicity stunt to fleece the taxpayer even more. And the moron journalists (redundancy alert) are falling for it.
