Its all a moot point to me. The last time I went to a game was at the Coliseum Field / Wizzards and it was announced it was Hispanic Night. During the seventh inning stretch, we were asked to stand and direct our attention to home plate. Having done so, I observed a group of individuals appear carriying the official flag of Mexico. I will never return. Ray Charles could have seen the graft and corruption that built the new stadium. A behind the scenes early on retired Lincoln exec planned for the city. Now Lincoln National has unloaded its empty building on the city for 8 million. Probably just a coincidence.

Hey, I remember you! Weren't you at the zoo last year with one of those VW strollers that comes equipped with a beer cooler, baby wipes, sleeping bag, and 3 lbs of pork rinds? Didn't I see your husband walking out of a strip joint on Goshen Road and then again at the zoo when he guzzled down a Schlitz and made a basket just before entering the ol' Prairie Dog exhibit. Wow. Must be hard being you.

While reading your complaint, I was in agreement with your friends' refusal to give their personal information. But, I don't believe it actually happened. And especially find it hard to believe that they were harassed that much over this information. I couldn't help but laugh, though, at your childish and erroneous attempt at making a political statement. Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not on Obama's mailing list. But your right to privacy was destroyed by Bush II.

Editor’s note: With so much leftwing lunacy tied to the Fort Wayne stadium, I just had to publish this comment.

That story is unsubstantiated hearsay, and therefore highly suspect. I challenge you to come up with something to back it up, because #5 and I have both attended games and apparently neither one of US were asked for any personal info. Shame on you for the Obama reference at the end too- any reasonable person can see that a stadium who did what you suggest is much more aptly named “Patriot Act Field.” What if the supervisor had said it was a matter of national security, anti-terrorism, homeland security, blah blah blah? Because much more than your address is exposed when you have a WARRANTLESS wiretap on your ass or when the government is monitoring your messages on your AT&T iphone, as was proven.
Take it from a recovering Republican who wised up and joined the Dems and more importantly the ACLU after the W debacle: If you’re still voting Repub it had better be because you’re loaded and don’t like paying taxes… because the “ideals” that once made up the party are, sadly, looong gone. It’s about money baby, and has been for years.
Btw, even if you opposed the stadium all along, it is over now. You should check out a game- I guarantee you will want to go to another. That place is unreal! And the TinCaps began their season with a huge winning streak. So the team has momentum, so does the stadium, the downtown, and the Fort in general. It’s nice to CELEBRATE something amidst all the economical crap for once. Take some pride people! And you should have mentioned- that ticket for the home run lawn seats in question? 5 bucks apiece. Best deal in town- Sit behind home plate for $9.

That is a very disturbing story. But, as Jennifer pointed out, how many others have been made to provide the same information? It seems a very unique story. I’ve only been to one Tin Caps game, but did not have to provide that information. Regardless, the action to pursue one’s private information in unacceptable. “I’m sorry sir, I cannot let you in unless I have your Social Security number,” oh wait, that would be W. Field. Just joking, Dan!
