Fair and balanced seems to have a way of piling up the rankings. While CNN and DNCTV took the time to make fun of tea party protests around the country, Fox News once again kicked ass. The left-wing MSM even took to making sexual references regarding tea parties.

FoxNews and MSNBC do not count as News Stations. Raitings are more solid on both becuase people like hearing what they want to hear. Conservatives like FoxNews telling them a world-view that reflects their opinions. Liberals like MSNBC telling them a world-view that reflects their opinions.
The funny thing about CNN is if you ask Conservatives, they think it is too liberal. And if you ask Liberals, they think it is too conservative. Thus, CNN is the only real fair and balanced 24-hour news source left.

I feel the coverage by the MSM stations to the T.E.A. parties was cruel.
There was not ONE arrest, tazing, tear gas grenade or K-9 unit called into action. At worst, there were probably a few parking tickets…lol!
It’s the type of “protest” that Dr. King embraced…a PEACEFUL one.
And it WORKED!
The participants were civil, and represented the BETTER side of AMERICAN society, as opposed to other protests that resulted in rioting, looting, numerous arrests and vandalizatrion of properties.
And that’s about AS FAIR an assessment as one could hope for.

Andy, FOX’s ratings dwarf the others because so many “independents” tune in. As viewers, they may not always be able to avoid the conservative view from some of the comentators, but they know they’ll always hear at least SOME differing opinion, as opposed to the constant droning on by all the others that all things not liberal are evil.
As for the protests, I find it absolutely hilarious that when us “right wingnut, redneck racist knuckledragging conservatives” gather and protest our signs are not profane, we are wearing clean clothing, we are respectful of public and private property, we disperse after we are done in an orderly manner, we clean up our mess, in short, we act like adults with legitimate concerns unlike the left over hippies, the assless chaps crowd, the code pinkers, the anti-war groups etc.
One of the most eye opening comparisons I’ve ever seen pointed out were photos of the 2005 protest in DC against the Iraq war. Obviously both sides were there pro and con, and the photos of the respective camps afterward were fascinating to me as the anti-war protesters left shit everywhere, the ground was covered with trash, and the pro-war side had all the trash in bins and cans….
Some may say that’s a trivial comparison, but I think it blatantly points out a lack of responsibility, and a lack of respect so prevalent on the “left”.
