Worse, you need to negate the "time+money" (because your assertion is that they reduce/waste both), I think the most you can prove is that democrats are the negative-2 times the square root of evil. Since evil is the negative of good, the proof would be that "Democrats = 2 x sqrt(good)". But that's not nearly as funny as the original, I'll grant you, and certainly not as plausible.
