One Response to “The Polar Bear Plunge”
  1. Bob G. in MI says:

The lovely rivers in the Summit City are something I do not miss. When we looked at our house and made it down to the basement, I asked the realtor, “Hey where’s the sump pump?”. Although, during our search some of the houses we looked introduced us to a “Michigan basement”. I would prefer the rivers and sump pits.

Remember a few years back there was a story about someone who jumped in the river fleeing from the police, and they couldn’t find him. Whatever he was running from must have not been that big of a deal, because I shocked to hear an update later that evening. That night on the news, they asked that person who jumped in the river to call the police. Not to turn himself in, but rather to let them know that he was alive, because even the police didn’t want to hop into the river to search for a dead body. I wouldn’t have believed it, if I didn’t see them asking about it on the news with my own eyes.
