Another fire at the Willows

I got two phone calls, an email and even a text message this morning about another Willows fire. Being sick I wasn’t going to cover but I changed my mind after the second call.

Below: Police Chief Rusty York and City Councilman Marty Bender have a word with each other.

I’ll upload more to my Flickr account after a bit. FWFD had no word on the cause of the blaze.

When I heard what the CAUSE of the fire was, my first reaction was:
“OMG, someone from MY neighborhood moved in there.”
(the cause was someone falling ASLEEP while cooking – something the “locals” down here are fond of doing to their HUD rentals)

Amazing…I guess dumbasses can live ANYWHERE…and don’t care WHO they put out as a result of THEIR irresponsibility.

Glad to see those displaced people got some help ASAP thanks to Red Cross.
