Part 2-
The people had three fee tof water in their absements most all the night and into the early AM, and it took close to a month to fix the damn thing. Lots of insurance claims and even a few lawsuits.
SO NEVER underestimate the power of water pressure…or a broken FOUR foot water main.

I can tell you that Snyder H/S was WITHOUT water today since just before noon and into most of the afternoon.

Bubling water from a street is NEVER a good sign.

Had an incident occur in Philly way back in the early 1990s.
Water was coming through a small hole in the middle of one of the approaches to the Tacony/Palmyra Bridge. The Water Dept. was called by several people that reported it for 2-3 days. Then on the third night, around 2AM, I heard an explosion (I lived less than a 1.2 mile from there), and there was about a FIFTY foot deep crater in the middle of the daamn street.

This water main break didn’t happen this morning. I drive to work via Lake Avenue every day and noticed it at least five days ago. It’s been seeping up through the concrete all this time. Problem is this is perhaps the FOURTH time they’ve attempted to fix the same section. Let’s hope they do it right this time and fix it once and for all.
