  1. Of course it is beautiful, but I love my Mustang. You have seen my Mustang, it is nice, isn’t it? It didn’t cost as much as the Challenger though about $10,000 less.
    Not as much HP either.
You would just get into trouble with a car like that Challenger anyhow!!

I still like my 25 year old Firebird (with under 60K on the “odo”)…I really should get the A/C fixed…and those seatbelts…and the window edge rubber…and maybe a new battery too.
    Aside from that, she’s G-T-G 24/7/365!

    ;)

(my dream cars would be either an Aston Martin V-8 vantage or a 1969 Mustang GT 500)

But if someone wants to GIVE me a new Challenger…hey, I’m not gonna bitch…LOL!

  3. Bob, You are probably gonna hate me, but my Dad used to collect Mustangs. He had all kinds of 1969 and 70′s. As a matter of fact, he had a 69 Shelby GT 500, and boy was it nice. We still have 3 of his Mustangs left; a 1996 Cobra with 300 miles on it (yes, I said 300), a 1990 Anniversary 7up green with a white convertible top with 82 miles on it, seriously. My favorite of the remaining stangs is a 71 Boss 351, and that thing is FAST. Before my father owned it, the car was featured in the “Mustang Magazine” back in 1989. Too bad my passed away, and the cars are just sitting. The 1996 and the 1990 are both for sale, if you know anyone looking.
The rubber window trim is called dew wipes or door belt weather strip. IF you cannot find a Firebird in the junk yard with dew wipes, you can order do-it-yourself-kits from J.C. Whitney.

    Dee:
    Your Dad HAD one?????
    Man, am I envious!!

My buddy had a ’69 mach 1, and THAT was cool beyond all reason, but the SHELBY…ah, that WAS paradise by the dashboard lights!

I have Mark Munsinger (fantastic auto body/paint & restore shop and a good friend) over on Earth Drive doing the legwork for the fixup parts list on my “baby”…the hard part is FINDING the stuff.
Most junkyards have long run out of ’83 Firebird parts.
Most other places (even GM itself) don’t stock anything older than 20 years…maybe I should have stocked up 5 years ago???
    (but will take “donations” gladly)

    LMAO!

    ;)

    (…next life)
