Fort Wayne, Ind. – Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry called on federal leaders today to appropriate $50 million for Fort Wayne-area trails and other infrastructure projects that will make the area more friendly for pedestrians and bicyclists alike, while improving access to mass transit.
I wonder if he called Mark Souder?

Probably has – after all, Tom and Mark are “birds of a feather” – although Tom is probably a little less fiscally liberal.
You can not be serious? We will be covering California’s proven SOCIALIST TYPE OF GOVERNMENT $9 billion dollar debt. California showed that if you keep jacking the taxes on the rich that either they no longer are rich or get the hell out of the state.
If I hear one more word about these TRAIL projects I am going to get sick. Less then 1% of city/county residents use the TRAILS. Yet we are spending taxpayer dollars on such, like we are flush with cash.
I am sure Mitch Harper will defend this, he and his friends are out of touch with the real problems facing the real people of Fort Wayne.
One more comment…..
Would not $50 million build and equip a nice police command for both the city and county police for 30 plus years…. Far longer then these trails will be around… Come on people these trails are a fad for less then 1% of us.
100% of us would be better served with providing our police with a command center. None of us would work worth a darn working in an out house yet we ask our city and county police to do such day after day.
