Gadfly,
You are obviously not a football fan or you would realize that NFL players are not called 'All-Stars' rather 'All-Pro'. The hit delivered by Pollard was legal and it was reviewed by the NFL because Billcheat and his crew are a bunch of cry babies. It was a legal hit and Brady had extended himself throwing a long ball. He left himself open for this. Furthermore, Pollard had a 230 man on top of him, he dragged his blocker, reached for Brady and got his extended leg. That's was that. Next time before you comment about the game of football maybe you should learn something about the game of football and before you go condemning a player you should know something about the player. Mr. Pollard is known as a gentle giant by his team mates. He is a quiet man off the field but on the filed HE DOES HIS JOB. That's exactly what he did on Sunday. If he would have had the chance to make the tackle and didn't he would have been in trouble with his coaches the next day when the play was reviewed. So just do research the next time you open your big Gad or should I say FLY!!!!!!!!

I never said that taking out a top-rated pro qb is the way to becoming
a star in the NFL.

I am not sure why you think that taking out a top-rated pro qb is the way to becoming a star in the NFL. Whether you like Tom Brady or the Patriots is not the issue here. Brady became a star based upon his play. Injuring other players does not require talent.

Bernard Pollard may or may not become a star in the NFL. When I see him selected to the All-Star team several times, I will become a believer. Until then, he just might want to stay on his best behavior. Teammates of star Quarterbacks do not like their money man put down.
