ST. PAUL — As the Connecticut delegation was getting off a bus near the Xcel Center, a group of protesters broke free from authorities and attacked the delegates.
Connecticut delegate Rob Simmons told FOX 9 that a group of protesters came toward his delegation and tried to rip the credentials off their necks and sprayed them with a toxic substance.
The unknown substance burned their eyes and stained their clothes.
One 80-year-old member of the delegation had to be treated for injuries, and several other delegates had to rinse their eyes and clothing.

Protesters harassed two state delegations in St. Paul to attend the Republican National Convention Monday. Someone threw a rock through the window as delegates from Alabama rode their bus to the Xcel Energy Center, where RNC events took place. And masked protesters confronted and harassed the Connecticut delegation — several of them were spat upon, roughed up and doused with a mixture of water and bleach.
All the while the liberals are protesting about how they’re being treated?

One final thought. I have been covering these leftist rallys for years and there has been a palaple change, slow at first, increasingly clear. These malcontents have always been insane and bizarre but these protests have become more and more deranged and violent. That’s the change — they have taken it to a whole different level – they are violent and they enjoy the chaos and the violence.
Amazing. Just how the hell do they expect to be treated?

Violent protesters should be arrested.
Organizations sponsoring peaceful protests should not have their group infiltrated by federal agents or their homes raided for dubious reasons.
Then again the Republican Party has become an organization with increasingly authoritarian views and policies…
Jeff, you don’t have all the facts about the raids so don’t start blaming republicans. Look up the Rico Act.

It appears the attacks on the RNC are more & the most violent without an organized message.
It appears the RNC graciously raised funds for Hurricaine folks in our Nation,
rather than giving speeches. I guess putting a hold on a Political Convention might have been in order.
Common criminals looting stores and breaking windows. When’s the last time you saw a few thousand conservatives breaking windows in police cars and jewelry stores to get our message “out there”??
These violent criminals should be shot on sight. I know if they came at my store trying to break in.. I’d shoot them… once to stop them… and a second time to kill them.
