This crap is everywhere. One of the local nutbags is emailing this amazingly stoopid piece around.
Hardcore RP delegates to the Republican national convention hope to convince enough McCain delegates to abstain on the first ballot to deny the fascist neocon the nomination, with the hope of eventually nominating Ron. They rightly point out that, as St. Thomas Aquinas said, an unjust law is no law at all, so anyone with a conscience is not required to vote for McCain, no matter what their state government says; indeed, just the opposite.

Here is my only advice: the St. Paul convention, like the Denver one, is a key State-legitimizing event, with much of the power elite in attendance. They are funded by the taxpayers, and by the military-industrial-petro complex, in arrogant display. Since 9/11 especially, the conventions are totalitarian regimes in miniature (and examples of what they’d like the whole of America to look like). Their jackbooted thugs will not hesitate to gas you, taser you, beat you into a bloody pulp, and then put you into one of their animal cages for years. Do not do anything that gives them even the slighest excuse.
And people are trying to tell me to embrace these crazy people? When hell freezes over.
Too bad there’s not any cages left at the animal shelter.

A Note to the Ron Paul people engaged in this discussion: As St. Thomas More said “You people are NUTS!!!” (that is a very rough paraphrase). RP people get a grip on REALITY, please, pull your head out of your manifesto and take a look around you for a minute. If you had ANY historical acumen at all, you would realize that the entire basis of your actions is based on a fiction. Politics has never been one day in the United States any different than it is today and your “patriot” animosity towards it belongs in Disneyworld not in the real world. McCain is not a neocon—he has his own ideas—he is certainly not fascist. Such rhetoric belongs to the Politburo, not Republican Party Convention. Your politicized hostility to McCain is nothing less than whole hearted support for Barack Obama. Your actions are not noble but transparently treacherous.
There are nutbags in every group and some bags have more nuts than others. Consider the church-attending kook who goes off and shoots abortionists… certainly doesn’t mean that all conservative Christians are murdering loonies. The same goes for Ron Paul and his supporters. Yeah, I’ll be the first to admit that the guy has a kind of zany magical Keebler elf quality about him, but that doesn’t make his message any less true.
And now a message to my friends from outer space: Kooba krim. Zaboonie!
Hey, these people are in your party, not mine. Deal with it.
Hey, Robert.
Dealt with! Question: do you want them back?
