This morning I was greeted at my front door by a stray black cat. For someone that’s not really fond of cats, this one was very friendly so I got her some milk and a slice of roast turkey. I spent about 5 hours working the yard and she didn’t leave. Everytime I got off the tractor she followed me around like a lost puppy. She had no collar, but was apparently someone’s cat as she was very affectionate.
Sooo.. I went to the store and bought some cat food and flea and tick stuff. Damn cat was really hungry.
I flipped the lid off my dog’s old shelter and put the food bowl in there. Maybe she’ll be smart and use it for cover tonight. If she does, I’ll put the entire thing together for her as I have no intention of making her an indoor pet. There’s plenty of field mice outside to keep her busy, and she’s already chasing after the chipmunks, which is a good thing.
For now I’m calling her “Welfare Momma”. I forgot to mention that besides being homeless, she’s VERY pregnant.

I’d hate to do this to ANY cat, but naming her something with “EISHA” on the end would work damn well.
I mean look at her..she does meet ALL the parameters, right?
(she just needs to move into a vacant rental hovel on the south side to complete it)

You should name her Cindy (Cindy’s Diner) and her kittens, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Those babies will make nice little meals for the foxes.
I agree with Chick with a Glock, the kittens will be nice fox lunches. I HATE feral cats. There was just a digusting incident at my house at the claws of such a beast. Indoor cats are ok, but outdoor ones should be eliminated. Sorry Dan. That was nice of you to feel for it, but I hope the kittens don’t grow up without their father and take cues from their mother’s wild life style. Let’s sign the mother up for WIC and Medicaid. How about going after the father for child support? LOL
why would you be calling this a feral cat? dan states that she was apparently someone’s cat as she is very affectionate…hardly how i think of a feral cat.
