At approximately 3:15 an individual driving a motor scooter westbound on Bass a few hundred feet from the I-69 bridge, lost control in the shoulder gravel. One witness stated the driver suffered severe head and neck trauma.

When I hear the horns of the engines and more than 3 vehicles responding, I usually dash over to take a look.
I think that’s the father-in-law of one of my wife’s coworkers. If so, it was a fatality.
no pager.. but i have a few scanners laying around, or any $80 scanner will allow you to listen to the county fire departments.
If you want to listen to the FWPD, FWFD, ACPD, and TRAA/AMR, that would require a $500 radio. (Or aboiteindependent.com)
My Gosh! I think saw that guy (if the scooter is black??) driving north toward Bass Road at around 3:10 or so? Older gentleman? Anyway, I saw someone on a black scooter without a helmet on and he was older…
So what happened on Bass Road tonight.
I live in Whispering Meadows which backs up to the woods on Bass Road.
We could hear many sirens and hear a fire blazing, not to mention the smell of a huge campfire.
We walked to the rail road tracks and hear all the firemen, poilice talking, but we couldnt see anything.
Now it just smells like a wet fire pit outside
