I saw that piece. I didn’t know the connection Goldner had with the local company. I do agree that it is good that we are going for the best bid. It will help offset, very little mind you, some of the cost of the HS boondogle downtown.

I don’t think Fourth Wave or Don Willis would be so stupid as to bid for this contract under any of his current companies because of Goldner’s position on City Council. He more likely established some sort of “consortium”, a federation of companies, and bid this, if indeed he did bid it, as some other newly formed entity. He may have also propped up a smaller local company, and bid it that way.

If the bidders and the proposals are available to the public, it shouldn’t be hard to unwind the relationships to find out if indeed Fourth Wave, Don Willis, one of his companies, a company propped up by him, or a consortium of which he is a part, bid on this contract.

A better approach may be to ask Councilwoman Goldner directly, if she has any knowledge if her employer is in anyway associated with any of the vendors or entities that submitted a bid on the city IT contract. Let’s see how she handles a direct question.

The dollar’s value is soo low that the “only” place these “offshore” companies can spend thier “profits” (from this “huge” Fort Wayne contract) is the United States and that is what they will do. Let’s get real. Fort Wayne needs a vendor that gives a rip about our City not one that only thinks about itself (and there are a lot of those unfortunately and its a pain in the a__ to work with them I have been told).

Do you have any evidence whatsoever that her company bid on the contract? I have the pre-bid sign in sheet and I don’t see FourthWave, Goldner, or Willis anywhere on the list.

The entire premise of your post is that they bid on the contract and lost but I don’t see any facts to back that up. I’m not suggesting there aren’t any but I am saying that I haven’t seen any…
