Back when I did my COSTPLENTY SQUARE (done deal) “crime scene” posts, I was merely wondering WHY our city was all of a sudden stocking up on WHITE PAINT…And WHY suddenly the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo was missing…ONE ELEPHANT.

I don’t have time to dig back in the AWB archives, but about the time this debacle was introduced, I seem to recall posting here a “dibs” on a future “I Told You So”!! If I’m not mistaken Bobby G had the same premonition as well. (It wasn’t exactly rocket science)

"Weâ€™re building a library, not a stadium.â€ Well it now appears that even the MILLIONS spent on the library weren't enough. The ACPL just announced today they are limiting the number of holds a patron may have to only 5. They'll spend untold dollars to heat and cool the open-air ambiance of an enlarged facility, add an art gallery and name it after their executive director, and incorporate the goofiest parking validation scheme I've ever seen. But, if you are an avid reader wanting to actually use the library for its original intent (borrowing books), you find yourself on the receiving end of the budget cuts.

The “corporate farms” farm the government – not the farm!!!
Now the “corporate house-builders bill the government for their unrecoverable over-runs instead of non-existent house-buyers. Our locate Development people continue to screw only the taxpayers!!!! Hotel builders can’t make a buck without tax rebates AND 16% profit guaranties!!!! Condo builders can’t sell what they said would pay for an unneeded new baseball stadium. And we surely can’t continue to operate without a new bridge over troubled human waste products!!!!! SNAFU
