Okay Fetcho, what’s your spin on this? She’s not in the car. This was taken on West Brackenridge at the intersection with Harrison in Front of Lincoln.

  1. Eric Fetcho says:

ILLEGAL! There is no question about it, they shouldn’t be allowed to do this. They do this on a DAILY basis!!! Aways in the same area down here.

Joe(ataylormadelife.com) also blogged about the same thing a while ago, and has a photo like this AT THE SAME HYDRANT back in November.

Let’s see, cops speed, cops ride without seat belts, and cops cause traffic accidents and they are never found to be at fault by “investigating” officers.

My wife was cited for an accident when a speeding cop with siren, who was southbound on Lima at the Coliseum intersection veered across four lanes (right to left) to turn back North, just as the light changed. My wife was in the extreme left lane, which bends slightly east at that point. Her windows were closed and the siren was not sufficiently loud to provide adequate warning since she could not see the flashing lights.

Obviously, my insurance premium took a hit for repairing two vehicles. The diagram in the police report showed the absurd route of the cop, but the City could not afford to be held responsible.

    Yeah, what Fetcho said!

When I took the picture he referred to, I was surprised but not shocked that this happens on a regular basis in downtown Fort Wayne.

Perhaps the Fire Marshall should drive by and write up a citation/infraction next time. I went to school with a Fire Marshall, should I make him aware of this situation?

The meter Nazi doesn’t hesitate to give me a parking ticket!

    Dan:
One simple rule to follow here:
    “WE LEAD BY EXAMPLE”.

Not much “leadership” being displayed in the picture, is there?

I’m with Eric: ILLEGAL (next victim)

    ;)

This is not a “cop”. It is a parking patrol vehicle. I am not even sure they work under the Police Department. I believe they may work under Sandy K. I am not 100% on that but I know they are not Police officers.

  7. Now I know why I am a lucky recipient of one a week. (But two in one day is pretty common.. I swear I am followed.)

Also, how can they ticket for a license plate violation if they are not privy to police authority?
