Let me preempt this post by stating that I know Tony Henry and think he’s a great guy. I’m sure I’ll stop by there for a green beer tomorrow and to catch up with a few old friends. However…
Tony needs to exercise a little more caution when someone’s around snapping pictures. This past week legislation passed to allow bars and taverns to offer pull tabs and other low-stakes gambling, but Mitch Daniels has yet to sign in into law. If you take note of this picture, taken March 16, 2008 by Mitch Harper of FWOb, it seems the Mayor’s brother is jumping the gun, (click picture for a larger image). You can see the Criss Cross board payoff card behind the bar. Criss Cross is currently an illegal pull-tab game in the state of Indiana.
As Mr. Harper pointed out in his post, “Tony Henry is an elected member of the Wayne Township Board . His brother, Tom, of course, is the current mayor of Fort Wayne.”.
One of our regular readers pointed this out, and in the spirit of fair and balanced – well there you go.

Well what would you expect? The gambling laws are screwing the local tavern owners, along with people like officer Boner. How do you expect them to survive?
Then again, with brothers in high places who needs to worry about the law?
isnt mitch Harper an elected city council official? I guess his oath of iffice means nothing to him?
Hey, looks like a decoration to me.
