Are we treating illegal immigrants like Hitler treated the Jews?

I have read countless letters with the basic theme of “send the illegal Mexicans back to Mexico. We are losing jobs to Mexicans; wages are lower; you name it, they did it.â€
Here’s a thought – why don’t we just round them all up and lock them into work camps? They want to work, so let’s make them work!
This idea is not original. Adolf Hitler thought of the Jews the same way some Americans think of Mexicans. He had the Jews locked in work camps and before long decided that he could do better and tried to exterminate all of them.
I am an American – part Irish, German and Cherokee Indian. All of my ancestors have been hated at one time or another.
Wrong. There is no comparison between Hitler and the Nazi’s treatment of Jews and American sentiment for people that have broken the law to enter this county. Hitler saw the Jewish people as inferior and was out to create a master Aryan race. That’s no comparison to how people feel about Spanish people. They’re not hated and you don’t read about hate crimes being perpetrated against Mexicans everyday do you?
The fact is they’re here illegally. My great grandfather immigrated here from Italy “legally” and still suffered from discrimination. However, that was at the hands of other immigrants – your Irish ancestors included. For the record, I have Irish ancestors as well. Illegal immigrants are a drain on our school systems, social welfare systems and healthcare systems. I think the term is freeloader.
America stole its land from the Indians and Mexicans. Before the white men “discovered†America, this land was already the land of the Indians. Mexicans were thrown off their land in what is now California, Texas, New Mexico and elsewhere so that this could become a new nation. Where would you be if the Indians let the Pilgrims starve to death or simply tossed the European illegal immigrants back into the sea?
So are you saying you want to allow illegal activity due to historical facts that cannot be changed? Somehow you forgot to mention we also had slavery. Get over it, that’s in the past and this is in the here and now.
We need to start treating people the way we want to be treated. Think – what would Jesus do?

How about they treat our country with the respect and dignity our forefathers did and follow the law of the land and immigrate here legally? What a novel concept.

rule of law? imagine that. now if we could only get our local govt as fired up on that issue, as they are about all those “evil illegal mexicans” (wasnt it josef goebbels who said first you have to demonize your enemys, before you can act agains them?)
I think that theres lots of special inteest groups that benefit from illegal aliens, and undocumented workers. or maybe they are islamic terrorists, trained to speak spanish, and keep to themselves, and wait until the code words to attack?
ever stop to think- what are 3 things that landscaping companies have an abundance of? trucks, diesel fuel, and fertilizer? think about that the next time a crew of likely illegal aliens working on someones fabulous estate lawn, or corporate property maintenance crew, smiles at you. he just might be thinking” die, infidel dog.. senor”- hasta la vista, americans”

by the way- theres another mexican restaurant in town. dontcha love that mexican food? must be a demand?

So what does all that mean Roach? Could you just put together one coherent sentence once in a while? I don’t mean to be lazy, but deciphering your posts wears me out. There are times when you make very valid points, but it takes about 5 re-reads to get the gist of it.

This is America, of course. Breaking the law is our national pastime. Illegals are just trying to fit in when they break the law.
and they cros s over not because they want to but because they need to and they cant come here illegaly necause so many of them dont have waht it needs for them to even apply for a visa and then if they do they ususally dont get one and if they do get one whats the point theyre stil gona be ilegal to anyone who sees them theyre stil gonna get called spics,beaners,wetbacks and still theyre the ones who experience the toughest jobs such as working in the sun picking cilantro strawberrys or anything else for 1.50$ a box that many people are gonna eat but yet they styill dont like them because they stil their jobs but yet they dont wanna do that work and if mexicans dont who will
but yeah i do think that they are treating them like the jews and mexican are hated legal or illegal how many of my friend that are latino or mexican are getting called wetbacks burritos and beaners and there was a case in california where a man that works in the sheriffs department got a van and saw mexicans talking and looking for work somewher and he went and picked them up promising work and then he went and dropped them all of in the border and he didnt evn bother telling his family they wer deported they wer just dropped of their familys not knowing if they live or die and he said he wud do that evryday for the rest of his life if thats what it takes for evry spic to get out of this countryy
