Instead of whining about another lost cause, these bars should be pro-active, and creative:
build outdoor year round beer-tents/ porches to smoke and drink outdoors, during the nice weather, and to stay warm and dry in foul weather- sort of like the old west “tent saloons”- read your history books..
remember ths old saying “your freedoms end at the tip of my nose”?
What about all the non-smokers?
have an open mind- marijuana smokers have had to go outside to smoke for years. no big deal..
how subversive- outdoor beer tents- on-premise- year round. Drinking outdoors- open containers- on premise. on private property.
smoke your favorite combustible outdoors. just keep it discreet.
. my favorite local bars are Corner pocket, peanuts, northwood grill, and wrigley field, trion tavern, carls..btw
