Last night I came home and set out the sprinkler to water the lawn. I’m going for the greenest lawn award I think.. anyway a fellow blogger drove by my house and saw me stopped. We literally stood in the street for nearly and hour and chatted about the issues of the day. It was nice.

Then I went into the house and it was friggin hot! So I wandered out back and the AC unit wasn’t working. I’ve had a few issues with it in the past the last being a severed thermostat lead. Turns out I had forgotten that the night before I had to actually turn on the heat. That being taken care of I went to the fridge and got out a 1 1/2 lb t-bone steak I had picked up from the Fresh Market. Once I had seasoned and marinated it I went out back to fire up the grill.

No freakin’ propane. So, off to Speedway. Sheesh, this wasn’t turning out to be my night.

TboneOnce the grill was about 450 degrees I proceeded to grill my nice little side of beef. A steak this size usually takes about 8 minutes on one side and 6 on the other side for a nice and bloody medium rare.

After 8-9 minutes I grabbed a plate and fork and went back downstairs and out the back door, flipped the steak and then came back upstairs. 6-7 minutes later I was back outside to retrieve my work of art. With all that had taken place it was getting late and was dark outside which dashed my plans to eat on the deck.

Sooo.. I open the grill and the fscking steak is gone. So is the plate and fork. I look around and say to myself “the the fsck?” I run around the house – no sign of the steak burglar. I hop into my truck and fly up and down the street. Nothing.

Hey, this is Aboite. This is not SE Fort Wayne. What the hell? That little piece of my property is the only area where I do not have a security camera. I will by tomorrow – The Sharper Image has them and I’m heading over there today.

Sounds like a trip to Radio Shack might be in store, too…get yourself a 150Db mag mount “screamin’ door alarm”….

THAT will scare the piss out of any unauthorized “dinner guests”…!
((just be sure YOU deactivate it when YOU grab yer steak))

Pretty damn ballsy people you have there.

Hope it was undercooked and they get the running shits for a week…!!!

Your side of town is getting bad! Steaks stolen off the grill, in the midst of a dark night? You couldn’t see them because they were dressed like ninja’s.

Well I must say, when you told me about it last night, I found it hard to believe. I hope you finally put the baseball bat down and got some sleep. I bet they are wondering what’s for dinner tonight?

John Good lives in Aboite? Wonder what he had for dinner that night. (just kidding, John)

What’s more chicken shit then screwing with a man’s steak. That’s just against the rules. You just don’t do it.
