I’ve been following this story on and off since it erupted.
Pelosi charged that the Pentagon is treating her request for a military plane differently than that of her predecessor because she is a woman.
Oh fsck me.. so she’s going to play the gender card. What a stupid remark. That one will come back to bite her in the ass.
“This is something that’s very strange that the Department of Defense and the Pentagon, which I have been a constant critic of the war in Iraq…has decided that they will go public about a conversation on an issue that applied to the other Speaker,” Pelosi continued, referring to former Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Ill.
“I want an aircraft that will reach California,” Pelosi told reporters Wednesday afternoon, insisting that she doesn’t care what kind of plane it is as long as it can fly nonstop to her home district.
What a load of horseshit that is. She can’t make up her mind since the critics have come knocking down her door, and for good reason. And for all you Leftard’s that are going to say Tony Snow is okay with this go ahead. Of course the Whitehouse is okay with it. They’re going to allow her to make a laughing stock of herself.
[.. Rep. Dennis Hastert, R-Ill., used a C-20, the military version of the Gulf Stream 3 business jet, a twin-engine turbo-fan aircraft that seats 12 passengers with a crew of five.
ABC News goes further stating this little lie, which came directly from Queen Pelosi’s camp.
But while the C-20 could fly to Hastert’s Aurora, Ill., district, which is slightly more than 700 miles from Washington, D.C., without stopping to refuel, Pelosi’s home district is in San Francisco, more than 2,800 miles from the nation’s capital, and the C-20 generally would need to stop and refuel to make it all the way to the Bay Area. So Pelosi requested a plane that could make it to California without having to stop along the way, and asked for clarification from the Pentagon about whether friends and colleagues could accompany her.

She just wants to tote her family , friends and PAC buddies around in the lap of luxury. As everyone is saying.. Nancy doesn’t care about the environment, or fuel conservation or saving the taxpayers money. I wouldn’t doubt she’s prolly trying to figure out a way to take out G.W. and Cheney so she can assume the throne.

Taxpayers should not foot this $300,000 dollar military perceived security flight from Washington to her home (throne) in CA.
She can take her own private paided plane and gas up at any of the six bases on route to get herself securely back home.
In fact, before she communtes back and forth, at least work a full five days on the job every week.
We are such dumb asses. We just set back and watch and listen. Being unemployed for over almost eight months and living modestly, I can tell you that I could take the cost of her round trip fare and all cost involved and live modestly on the intrest for the rest of my life as well as my family of six.
